Driven by shared success, PMG leverages business strategy and transformation, creative, media, and insights—as well as its proprietary operating system, Alli—to deliver cutting-edge digital solutions and innovative media strategies.

Who You Will Be Working With

At PMG, you’ll manage a collaborative Commerce squad that cares about both the details and the bigger picture. You’ll work shoulder-to-shoulder with partners in Retail Operations, Retail Media, Strategy, and Analytics to align catalog health, PDP content, promotions, and media plans around clear business goals.

You’ll have the backing of engaged leaders and a community that shares knowledge generously. Together, you’ll set priorities, celebrate progress, and keep delivery smooth—while creating a supportive environment where your team can learn, grow, and do work they’re proud of.

If you enjoy coaching others, connecting dots across functions, and turning good ideas into consistent outcomes, you’ll thrive here.

As a Manager in Commerce, if you’re excited about building strong client relationships, collaborating across teams, and helping brands achieve meaningful growth through smart, connected media, this is the place to do your best work.

What You Will Do

  • Directly manage a cross-functional team spanning Retail Operations and Retail Media—setting priorities, unblocking work, and ensuring launch-ready execution across catalog health, PDP optimization, promotions, and media campaigns.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy across listings, promotions, and digital campaigns with clear QA guardrails and feedback loops.
  • Collaborate with Media, Retail Operations, and Strategy leads to align channel plans with inventory, pricing, and PDP readiness, driving measurable client outcomes.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and coaching; create growth plans that elevate skills and accountability.
  • Oversee day-to-day operational delivery, including catalog management, campaign planning, and media activation—keeping timelines, pacing, and budgets on track.
  • Translate data into action using Excel, Looker/Looker Studio, and Velocity dashboards; build reporting views that clearly communicate trends, tests, and next steps.
  • Maintain a pulse on marketplace and retail media updates; recommend tests and promotional plays that capitalize on seasonal and category opportunities.

What You Will Bring

  • 4+ years of experience, with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Experienced in catalog and PDP optimization—from attribution and attributes to images, A+ content, and variant strategy.
  • Experienced in promotion strategy and event execution (e.g., tentpoles, retail calendars) that supports both retail readiness and media performance.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Retail Media activation and campaign reporting across core formats (e.g., SP/SB/SD) with an emphasis on clarity and actionability.
  • Experienced cross-functional collaborator who partners seamlessly with Media and Retail to align goals, requirements, and measurement plans.
  • Experienced with performance tracking using Excel, Looker/Looker Studio, and Velocity—comfortable building views that surface insights and guide decisions.
  • A commitment to curiosity and adaptability as a Continual Learner, staying at the forefront of media innovation while prioritizing client success with a Customer-Focused mindset that seeks opportunities to deliver meaningful value.
  • A dedication to People-Focused leadership, fostering collaboration, innovation, and professional growth by leading by example and nurturing strong relationships that empower others to excel.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
