The Manager of Campaign Analytics is responsible for driving data analytics and storytelling, primarily focused on in-flight and post-sale digital campaigns. This role involves analyzing raw data to uncover actionable insights that drive revenue retention and growth. A successful Campaign Analytics Manager will be adept at examining ad performance, measurement, site, and market data across all stages of a campaign to identify valuable learnings.

Strong proficiency in manipulating raw data using tools like Excel or other data visualization platforms is essential to uncover insights. Equally important is the ability to present these insights and recommendations in clear, actionable formats for both internal and external clients.

As a key member of a collaborative team, the Manager, Campaign Analytics will apply their expertise in digital media analytics to both analyze and consult. They will advocate for data-driven media learnings and lead campaign analytics support for high-priority accounts within the Finance vertical. Additionally, the Manager will mentor 1-2 direct reports, guiding them through reporting, insights, and strategic initiatives across DDM’s Travel and Auto verticals, which also encompass Finance accounts.

This hybrid in-office role in our New York City location has the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

The Campaign Analytics team is a small, highly skilled group of experts dedicated to supporting DotDash Meredith's digital advertising business. Organized by verticals, the team provides specialized expertise to drive ad revenue retention and growth.

About The Positions Contributions| Accountabilities, Actions and Expected Measurable Results

60% - Finance Campaign Analytics

  • Lead the development and execution of analytics strategies for the Finance vertical in collaboration with sales and account strategy teams.

  • Create insightful client deliverables that utilize performance, measurement, and other relevant data, with a focus on high-priority accounts.

  • Define analytic and reporting capabilities across media products and develop actionable insight solutions.

  • Work with a variety of data sources and platforms utilized by DotDash Meredith and its clients.

  • Potentially manage direct reports, overseeing their work in reporting, insights, and analytics solutions.

  • Partner with the analytics team in Bangalore to scale larger data analysis projects.

20% - Case Studies + Ad Hoc Analysis

  • Develop targeted case studies based on finance sub-categories, ad products, and advertiser objectives, aimed at positively impacting revenue retention and growth.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert on sales verticals and advertising products, creating both external and internal-facing case studies.

  • Translate research, site, and other data findings into actionable insights for media strategies.

  • Support content strategy teams by analyzing campaign performance to drive data-informed content creation.

20% - Team Management

  • Collaborate with leadership across other verticals to drive the vision and roadmap for the broader campaign analytics department.

  • Act as the first point of escalation for issues in the direct report’s verticals.

  • Lead vertical-specific analytics projects, from development to execution.

  • Help ideate and execute strategies that drive new revenue opportunities with both current and prospective clients.

  • Assist in balancing team priorities, ensuring deadlines are met for both short-term and long-term projects.

  • Foster collaboration and communication within the campaign analytics team.

Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All Must Be Met to Be Considered

Education:

  • BA or BS in a related field, or equivalent training/experience.

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in digital media analytics or a similar role in digital advertising, media, marketing, or ad tech.

  • Experience within the Finance digital advertising landscape is preferred.

  • Prior management experience is highly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem and data collection/sharing mechanisms.

  • Expertise in Excel, pivot tables, and data visualization tools.

  • Ability to clearly present complex data and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Passion for storytelling with data.

  • Exceptional attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Looker).

  • Experience working with third-party ad-server data (e.g., GAM, DCM, Google Analytics, DoubleVerify).

  • Familiarity with advertising effectiveness research solutions (e.g., Nielsen, Millward Brown, Dynata).

  • SQL knowledge is a plus but not required.

  • Serve as the first point of escalation for client and business issues related to the team’s verticals.

  • Lead and manage vertical-specific analytics projects, from development to execution.

  • Ideate and implement strategies that generate new revenue with current and prospective clients.

  • Help balance team deadlines and manage both short-term and long-term projects, ensuring smooth collaboration with other managers.

  • Foster collaboration, communication, and a positive team dynamic.

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $90,000.00 - $106,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Meredith’s total compensation package for employees.
