Agility’s commercially deployed humanoids operate alongside teams in warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and distribution centers—tackling physically demanding and repetitive tasks while enabling workers to focus on higher-value work. With industry-leading safety standards and years of proven deployment data, we're pioneering a new era of automation that enhances human potential.
As Manager, Business Intelligence, you will shape how Agility’s Operations organization understands and measures its own performance. This is an opportunity to define the BI function at a company building something genuinely new — establishing the tools, metrics, dashboards, and analytical practices that will drive decisions across Operations and, increasingly, the broader business.
Reporting to the Sr. Director of Operations Program Management & Insights, you will lead a team of analysts while staying close to the work yourself. You will set the agenda for the team, develop the KPIs and reporting infrastructure the business needs, and partner with data engineering and cross-functional leaders to influence the data foundation that makes all of it possible.
About the Work
- Lead and develop a team of Business Intelligence Analysts. Set clear expectations, coach toward technical and professional growth, and establish the standards that define how this team operates.
- Set and manage the BI team’s priorities. Understand what the business needs most, sequence the work accordingly, and keep the team focused on the highest-value problems.
- Engage professionally and effectively with senior stakeholders across Operations and the broader leadership team. Understand how to navigate competing priorities and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
- Do the work. Build dashboards, reports, and analytical tools. Develop and refine KPIs. Map processes and implement system and workflow changes when the work calls for it.
- Define what the business needs to measure and how. Partner with cross-functional teams to identify gaps in current tracking and reporting, and translate those needs into clear, actionable requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineering teams to influence the shape of the data architecture from the user perspective. You understand what the business needs to see and you can articulate that in terms data engineers can build toward.
- Build the practices, templates, and standards that will make this team more capable and consistent over time.
- Other duties as assigned.
About You
- You are technically strong, with 5–8 years of experience in BI or business analysis roles of increasing scope. You are highly proficient at SQL, BI tools, and data visualization — and you can teach those skills as fluently as you use them.
- You are adaptable. You’ve worked in environments where the data is clean and the systems are mature, and you’ve worked in environments where neither is true. You know how to produce value in both.
- You are a leader-teacher. Whether you’ve formally managed a team or led through influence and expertise, you take others’ development seriously and make the analysts around you sharper.
- You’re comfortable in a role where the scope is still being defined and priorities evolve. You create clarity where you can and stay productive where you can’t.
- You manage up and across with credibility. You communicate clearly with senior leaders, prioritize requests with good judgment, and know how to influence without authority.
- You think in systems. You understand that a dashboard is only as good as the data behind it, and you operate at both levels — shaping the reporting layer and the data layer that feeds it.
- You are as comfortable in process work as you are in analysis. When the job calls for mapping a workflow or implementing a system change, you lean in rather than redirect.
Bonus Points
- Experience standing up a BI function or team from an early stage.
- Background working in or closely with manufacturing, supply chain, or operations functions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and the reporting implications of major system implementations.
