At Garner, we’ve developed a revolutionary approach to evaluating doctor performance and a unique incentive model that's reshaping the healthcare economy to ensure everyone can afford high quality care. By providing organizations relief from surging healthcare costs, we've experienced rapid adoption in the market and have more than doubled our revenue annually over the last 5 years, becoming the fastest growing company in our space. About the role:

We’re seeking a Manager of Business Development to lead and grow our mid-market BDR team. • Lead, coach, and develop a team of high-performing BDRs to meet and exceed pipeline and meeting-generation goals.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and career development for team members through regular 1:1s, training sessions, and performance reviews.
What you will bring to the team:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in business development, including 1+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills; comfortable using data to coach and drive performance.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling outbound sales or BDR/SDR teams in a high-growth environment.
  • Expertise with Salesforce, Outreach, and ZoomInfo (or equivalent tools).
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or a complex B2B sales environment is a plus.
Compensation Transparency:

The base salary for this position is $105,000. This position is also commission eligible. Individual compensation for this role will depend on various factors, including qualifications, skills, and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans, including but not limited to: flexible PTO, Medical/Dental/Vision plan options, 401(k), Teladoc Health and more.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
