About The Manager, Analytics Position
The Manager, Analytics is a key contributor to how the organization uses data to inform decisions and understand its impact. This role focuses on transforming complex data into clear, relevant, and actionable insights that inform priorities, guide decisions, and measure outcomes. Partnering with teams and stakeholders across the organization, this role manages analytics workstreams that support progress toward organizational goals. Strengthening the team’s impact, the Manager, Analytics supports the team’s ability to operate as a strong partner to stakeholders across the organization.
This is a time-limited, project-based role, with an expected duration of approximately six months, subject to program needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Organization-Wide Impact Measurement: Contribute to the implementation and ongoing refinement of impact measurement approaches across communication and programmatic channels to assess effectiveness, support decision-making, and inform team-level priorities.
- Deliver Insights: Analyze and synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights and communicate findings to stakeholders across the organization to support mission-aligned outcomes.
- Manage Data and Analytics Projects: In close partnership with stakeholders, organize, sequence, and manage cross-functional analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with established goals, timelines, and technical standards.
- Team Execution and Priorities: Partner with the Analytics team to support execution of team priorities, contribute to project planning, and help maintain high standards of quality and consistency.
- Data Guidance: Provide guidance on data interpretation, design, reporting, and analytical best practices to empower staff across the organization to make informed, data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge Gaps: Support needs assessments and identification of gaps in available data, and contribute to efforts to improve data collection, tracking, integration, acquisition, and accessibility.
Requirements
Must Haves:
- 4+ years experience in data analytics or a related field
- Project Management: Strong project management skills, with experience managing analytics workstreams and contributing to analytics-related initiatives from planning to execution. Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain timelines, and collaborate with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
- Data Analysis Skills: Proven experience in data analysis and measurement, with the ability to work large datasets using SQL to query, manipulate, and extract actionable insights. Proficiency in writing SQL queries and optimizing for performance.
- BI Tool Proficiency: Experience using BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, or similar platforms to create dashboards, reports, and visualizations. Ability to translate raw data into clear, easy to understand business insights that support decisions.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data findings into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Experience working in a cross-functional capacity, collaborating with various teams to understand data needs, align on goals, and support data-informed decision-making.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated ability to identify data gaps, troubleshoot analytical challenges, and contribute to solutions that improve data quality, accessibility, and usability.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with data infrastructure, including data warehousing, ETL processes, and tools like dbt to support data transformation and pipeline workflows
- Familiarity to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, BigQuery)
- Experience in advocacy, civic engagement, or social impact-focused organizations
