The Amalgamated Sugar Company is seeking a Maintenance Training Supervisor at our Mini-Cassia factory. This role develops and executes employee training and development in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with the goals of the company and training team. The Maintenance Training Supervisor provides employees with the necessary knowledge and training to become a high performing accountable asset to the maintenance department. This position will report directly to the Operations Training Manager and is a salaried-exempt position.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the safety department to deliver safety training at the forefront of all maintenance training programs
  • Mentor employees through the millwright laborer program
  • Supervise and coordinate applicable maintenance related apprenticeship programs
  • Develop, implement, and oversee Millwright training, development, and progression programs
  • Conduct defined classroom style maintenance training programs in a professional manner
  • Develop, review, and update hands-on aspects of training
  • Leverage the knowledge of Maintenance Managers and supervisors to aide in building training programs
  • Collaborate with maintenance and operations personnel to develop proper operational maintenance training for employees. Ensure continuity of program with other facilities
  • Coordinate with supervisors to schedule employee training and testing
  • Collaborate with the training teams of other factories to develop best training material, techniques, and procedures
  • Track employee training progression, record testing, and evaluation results
  • Collaborate with factory management and the human resources department to develop maintenance related employee training, licensing, and certification procedures and policies
  • Collaborate with technical writing contractors to format and edit maintenance training syllabi
  • Report to the Operations Training Manager for team goals and guidance
  • Submit reports to the Operations Training Manager to track progress towards team goals
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Completion of high
  • Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in factory maintenance
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of a tenured Millwright
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various departments and stakeholders
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
