About the Role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to implement, integrate, and optimize machine learning based features in production, collaborating closely with our Research and Engineering teams to deliver new capabilities that delight users in their 3D creation experiences.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop ML-based product features that extend the capabilities of 3D foundation models; explore various solutions such as prompt engineering, lightweight fine-tuned models, or third-party API integrations.
  • Collaborate with Research and Engineering teams to productionize internal machine learning models.
  • Build unit and integration tests for ML components and ensure CI/CD pipelines run reliably
  • Maintain clear documentation of model designs, API schemas, and deployment processes; participate in code reviews and design discussions.
  • Implement machine learning solutions, such as prompt engineering, lightweight fine-tuned models, post-processing, that extend 3D foundation model inputs and outputs for 3D foundation models.

What We're looking for:

  • MS in Computer Science or related field or BS plus ~3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in Python and familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
  • Familiarity with software engineering best practices (unit testing, CI/CD, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience (academic or industry) implementing ML models in PyTorch or TensorFlow and integrating them into applications.

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with architecture and algorithms of modern generative models (transformers, diffusion, auto-regression).
  • Experience with computer graphics or 3D modeling.
  • Familiarity with cloud serving infrastructure and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Our Values
  • Brain: We value intelligence and the pursuit of knowledge. Our team is composed of some of the brightest minds in the industry.
  • Heart: We care deeply about our work, our users, and each other. Empathy and passion drive us forward.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
