At CVS Health, we’re building a world of health around every consumer and surrounding ourselves with dedicated colleagues who are passionate about transforming health care.

As the nation’s leading health solutions company, we reach millions of Americans through our local presence, digital channels and more than 300,000 purpose-driven colleagues – caring for people where, when and how they choose in a way that is uniquely more connected, more convenient and more compassionate. And we do it all with heart, each and every day.

Who We Are

As a Machine Learning Engineer on the Paid Media Data Science team, you will play a pivotal role in transforming our Affiliate marketing program into a scalable, data-driven engine. Our affiliate program delivers hundreds of millions of impressions and drives significant incremental trips and revenue. This role is central to productizing our affiliate optimization process—from data integration and model deployment to API development and CI/CD enablement—working closely with Data Engineering, MLOps, and external vendors.

By building robust ML systems that automate partner performance optimization and decision-making, you will unlock new levels of automation, efficiency, and strategic insight—positioning our team at the forefront of innovation in performance marketing.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and own scalable ML systems that optimize affiliate partner performance across multiple dimensions (e.g., ROAS, incremental trips, cost efficiency).

  • Design and implement data pipelines that integrate internal and partner data sources to support model training and inference.

  • Develop and deploy machine learning models that power partner-level recommendations and budget allocation strategies.

  • Build APIs and backend services to deliver model outputs to internal tools and external platforms.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering and vendors to productize the affiliate optimization solution, ensuring reliability, observability, and maintainability.

  • Support CI/CD workflows using tools like Jenkins and GitHub to ensure rapid iteration and deployment.

  • Partner with analytics and marketing stakeholders to translate business goals into ML solutions and measure impact through experimentation.

Location - Hybrid schedule in our Boston / Wellesley, MA office.

  • Practical experience working in cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

  • Familiarity with Snowflake or BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics.

  • Experience executing and measuring A/B tests and other experimentation frameworks.

  • Experience implementing AI solutions that integrate with business systems to enhance functionality and user interaction.

  • Experience working in agile teams with a focus on rapid delivery and iterative development.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Affiliate, Paid Media, or performance marketing product development.

  • Experience designing and building distributed, data-intensive products, including frontend and web app development.

  • Familiarity with Generative AI and agentic design principles.

  • Proficiency in mathematical analysis, machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling.
