Roles and Responsibilities
Safety & Compliance
- Act as a visible safety leader offshore, promoting GE Vernova’s EHS culture and Stop Work Authority.
- Ensure all M&E, commissioning, and installation support activities comply with GE Vernova EHS policies, statutory regulations, and client requirements.
- Review, challenge, and enforce RAMS, PTW, AWPs, and toolbox talks.
- Lead by example in hazard identification, safety observations, incident reporting, and investigations.
Offshore Supervision & Execution
- Supervise and coordinate offshore mechanical & electrical, and commissioning activities.
- Provide technical and execution support to offshore installation teams during installation and completion phases.
- Direct and manage subcontractors and technicians to ensure safe, high‑quality, and efficient execution.
- Ensure work is executed in accordance with approved RAMS and AWPs.
- Verify system completeness and readiness prior to commissioning activities.
- Coordinate M&E and Commissioning interfaces between installation, engineering, marine operations, and onshore teams.
- Support troubleshooting and resolution of technical and commissioning issues offshore.
Quality & Technical Assurance
- Ensure compliance with GE Vernova Quality Management System (QMS).
- Ensure accurate completion of M&E and Commissioning DPRs, checklists, debriefs and handover documentation.
- Identify and escalate technical risks, cases, non‑conformities, and improvement opportunities.
Planning, Coordination & Reporting
- Support offshore work planning, sequencing, and resource allocation for M&E and Commissioning scopes.
- Coordinate with Logistics and Marshalling Harbor to ensure offshore readiness of tools and spares.
- Participate in daily offshore coordination meetings and shift handovers.
- Provide accurate daily reports on progress, safety, quality, and risks.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Technical qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or equivalent offshore experience.
Experience
- Extensive experience (7+ years) in Offshore Wind or equivalent offshore industries.
- Proven track record supervising offshore M&E and Commissioning activities.
- Experience supporting and interfacing with offshore installation teams and marine spreads.
- Demonstrated leadership of subcontractors in complex, multi‑discipline offshore environments.
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of offshore wind turbine systems and associated M&E systems.
- Solid understanding of offshore commissioning processes and system handover.
- Competence in RAMS, PTW, AWPs, and offshore execution planning.
- Ability to resolve technical issues offshore.
Certifications
- GWO Basic Safety Training (BST) and role‑specific modules
- Offshore medical and sea survival certification
- Electrical authorization
- First Aid certification
