Business Unit Overview:

The Cash Management Group (CMG) at BlackRock offers a wide range of products and custom solutions to fit clients’ needs including securities lending, cash collateral, sweep activity and separate accounts.  BlackRock’s cash management style is designed to meet each client’s objectives of capital preservation, liquidity, and yield – in that order. 

BlackRock and its predecessor companies have been involved in the management of Money Market Funds (MMFs) since 1973, and today, BlackRock’s Cash Management Group (CMG) a business division within the BlackRock Global Markets group, is one of the world’s largest providers of cash management solutions to institutional and retail investors and manages approximately $960 billion (as of 5/7/25) in cash assets globally. The firm’s success within Cash Management has come as a result of earning the trust of our clients through multiple interest rate cycles and a wide variety of market events as opposed to solely generating the highest yields.

Today the Cash Management Group provides solutions either directly or through intermediary partners for institutional and retail clients in more than 60 countries, including corporations, pension funds, foundations, endowments, official institutions, insurance companies, sub-advisory relationships, high net worth individuals, family offices, private banks, traditional and alternative investment managers.

Position Description:

Within our US Financial Institutions Sales team, we seek a salesperson to contribute to the firm’s sales efforts covering global and regional banks, corporate trustee banks, porta

ls, insurance companies, digital wealth, hedge funds, private equity, structure finance issuers, and other Institutional distribution channels. The individual’s primary focus will be to assume primary sales and relationship management responsibilities for a large number of strategic FI clients and to generate new business opportunities with new and unique prospect names and/or new sources of AUM from existing bank and alternative client names.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assume senior Sales and RM responsibilities for existing Financial Institutions relationships

  • Source new business opportunities from new names to BlackRock

  • Source new AUM opportunities from different divisions within existing bank and alternative client relationships

  • Partnering with FI team members and internal resources to build relationships and identify new Cash management opportunities

  • Deliver market insight and expertise to clients and FI partners helping to craft a narrative around opportunities that may exist in the markets

  • Seeking whole portfolio solutions across entire BLK product lines

  • Understanding the changing landscape of technology-based providers of investment solutions as external and internal optionality evolves

  • Educating clients on the regulatory landscape for the money market industry and helping to identify and provide alternative/sustainable investment solutions that support their needs

  • Working closely with portfolio management, marketing, and strategy teams to generate new business ideas and opportunities

  • Travel to attend client and prospect meetings together with industry conferences and events

Skills and Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated track record of successfully developing new business while working in a team structure

  • 10-15 years relevant sales and relationship management experience within financial services

  • Strong communication skills including written, verbal and presentation skills

  • Understanding of cash and liquidity product offerings including money market funds, as well as functional knowledge of ETF’s, CTF’s, SMA’s and Ultra-Short Funds.

  • Commercial / Entrepreneurial Spirit – a focus on successfully developing new business and areas of sales penetration

  • An understanding of the broader market, economic and industry / regulatory landscape affecting client investment activities

  • Ability to access and leverage existing client and personal relationships

Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits.
