🌟 Your Impact at Lila
Lila Sciences is seeking a Director of FP&A to help architect the financial systems and insights that power our next stage of growth. In this role, you’ll take the lead on forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial modeling, helping our executive team make data-informed decisions as we scale our Scientific Superintelligence platform across research, product, and commercial functions.
You’ll work cross-functionally with teams across AI, Operations, R&D, and Product to align capital allocation with Lila’s mission. This is a high-visibility role that blends sharp analytical thinking with business intuition.
🛠️ What You'll Be Building
- Company-wide financial models that power forecasting, scenario planning, and resource allocation
- Annual and quarterly budgets with clear accountability frameworks for cost centers and departments
- Strategic analyses that guide decisions on hiring, capital investments, pricing, and partnerships
- Executive-level reporting that distills financial performance into actionable insights
- Scalable financial processes and systems that evolve with a fast-growing, multi-disciplinary team
🧰 What You’ll Need to Succeed
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance
- Deep proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and building from zero to one
- Strong analytical and business judgment—able to zoom in on unit economics or zoom out to strategic tradeoffs
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to tell a story through numbers and work seamlessly across technical and non-technical teams
- Comfortable working in high-growth, ambiguous environments and building structure that scales
- Bonus: Experience supporting R&D functions in SaaS, AI, or platform-based businesses; familiarity with NetSuite or similar tools
