The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will strategize and execute lifecycle campaigns, focusing on customer journeys and conversion optimization, while collaborating with multiple teams.
About this role
PetDesk is looking for a Lifecycle Marketing Manager to own the strategy and execution of lifecycle campaigns that move veterinary clinics through our funnel—acquisition → onboarding → adoption → expansion → re-engagement. You’ll use email, in-app, and chat channels to deliver personalized, timely messaging that drives conversion, retention, and predictable pipeline growth.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role. You'll map customer journeys, build smart triggers and experiments, and continually optimize to improve conversion & reduce churn. You’ll work closely with Product, Customer Success, Marketing Ops, and Analytics to ensure everything from deliverability to messaging cadence is sharp.
Apply if you're excited to:
- Develop and lead the full lifecycle marketing strategy, from onboarding through retention, upsell, and win-back
- Design end-to-end customer journeys with segmentation, behavioral triggers, and event-based personalization
- Embed lifecycle touchpoints into the PetDesk experience via in-app messaging and chat, in addition to email
- Ensure email deliverability, sender reputation, authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and compliance with CAN-SPAM, GDPR, etc.
- Implement A/B tests, cohort analysis, funnel optimization, and performance dashboards to surface friction and opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, CX/Customer Success, Marketing Ops, and Analytics to deliver measurable improvements in engagement, retention, and pipeline
- Bring ideas to push the lifecycle craft forward—whether by refining messaging, improving content, testing new triggers, or improving the data & integrations behind the scenes
About You
- 3 to 5 years of experience in lifecycle, retention, or growth marketing in a SaaS or subscription business with multiple products
- Deep understanding of audience segmentation and targeting, including how to tailor journeys, messages, and triggers for different user cohorts
- Strong grasp of email marketing operations: deliverability issues, list hygiene, sender reputation, opt-in/opt-out best practices
- Hands-on experience with lifecycle marketing platforms (e.g. Iterable, Braze, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Customer.io, ChurnZero)
- Comfortable with data: A/B testing, funnel & cohort analyses, dashboards, identifying friction points, and reporting outcomes
- Strong communicator, project manager, and collaborator—able to align stakeholders, set priorities, and deliver under changing conditions
Benefits & Perks
- Medical coverage for employees and dependents (80-90% covered by employer)
- Employer HSA contribution with HDHP
- 401(k) match up to 3.5%
- Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- Dental & Vision coverage available
- Basic Life and AD&D Insurance
