DESCRIPTION

MORSE is seeking a detail-oriented Proposal Manager to track, structure, author, coordinate, and ensure compliance of our national security research and development proposals. This position has significant growth potential, and could include responsibilities such as opportunity identification/tracking, ideation, customer development, program shaping, and contract tracking.

MORSE is on the cutting edge of multiple technical domains and making big impacts with the government customers and warfighters our programs support. Our pipeline of opportunities and proposals is increasing in size, and we need a dedicated person to manage our proposal process. The opportunities MORSE pursues are typically highly complex aerospace and defense programs including autonomous systems, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. As a proposal manager, you will be working with chief engineers and subject matter experts to articulate ideas, understanding solicitations to ensure proposals adhere to requirements, and developing and maintaining proposal schedules.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

Candidates that have exceptional technical writing skills and attention to detail will excel in this role. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing proposals, familiarity with the Department of Defense acquisition process, and the ambition to grow into additional areas of responsibility. Highly organized individuals will thrive in this role.

  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED or the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Superb communication skills
  • Expertise in technical writing in a variety of technical domains
  • Impeccable editing and attention to detail
  • Expertise with MS Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage to a schedule
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a deadline driven, often fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of engineers
  • BS (preferred) or BA
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
