Procurement Contracts Consultant - Remote
The Opportunity
Currently the MassMutual Procurement team is going through a transformation to become best in class for contract lifecycle management and Source to Pay processes. Contract Managers play an important role, they are responsible for managing the full end-to-end contract strategy, which will include formulating the commercial deal terms, and representing the business while interfacing with the Legal team and Supplier through to the conclusion of the contracting process.

The Impact:
The Contract Consultant role will work efficiently and independently, managing a high volume of tasks and projects, react with appropriate urgency to matters which require a quick turnaround, and think creatively and proactively in order to solve problems.
Your day to day would include but is not limited to:
Negotiating master agreements, Statements of Work, Work Orders, used by the Procurement organization, including legal practice standards and playbook guidelines set by the Legal Department
Orchestrating the end-to-end process from kickoff to full execution. Communicates these results through weekly metrics reporting
Using your strong project management skills, including adhering to stakeholder timelines, and meeting management skills
Working knowledge of the basic types of commercial agreement structures and the function and purpose of key legal terms
Assessing risk and concisely explaining complex issues to both legal and non-legal professionals
Operating with an extreme customer-focus, taking the time to understand the needs of the business and legal
Using written and oral communication skills, coupled with your strategic, analytical, and interpersonal skills to act as an effective change agent, unlocking barriers to quickly move contracts to closure
Managing multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
The Minimum Qualifications
A minimum of 2 years of relevant contract lifecycle management experience
At least 1 year of Contract negotiation experience with primary responsibility being quality of agreements; and negotiating a broad range of standard commercial contracts within Procurement
Ability to lead the negotiation from kick-off meeting to contract signature
Understanding of S2P
The Ideal Qualifications:
3+ years of relevant contract lifecycle management experience
2+ years of Contract negotiation experience with primary responsibility being quality of agreements; and negotiating a broad range of standard commercial contracts within Procurement
Bachelors degree in Finance, Supply Chain Management or related major

Salary Range: $63,100.00 - $83,000.00
