Jobcase is looking for a Corporate Counsel to support our growth and help to fulfill our mission of empowering the world’s workers. The attorney will work on many projects across the organization in a highly collaborative, cross-functional manner. These projects may include the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts and IP licenses, addressing corporate governance issues, adherence to privacy and other regulations, and advising on product launches and expansions, while mitigating risk and promoting compliance. Reporting directly to the General Counsel, this lawyer must demonstrate intellectual curiosity, adapt quickly and provide solution-oriented advice that supports the growth of the business.

What you'll be doing here:

• Partner closely with stakeholders and the broader legal team to service and support internal legal requests and organizational initiatives
• Develop strategies for handling complex, high-visibility problems in creative, business-centric ways and leverage resources and technology to build processes that address risk and enable fast and flexible growth for the company
• Oversee the roadmap for key legal initiatives
• Learn our business and industry, and develop and deploy a calibrated risk-based approach to complex and often uncertain legal issues.
• Select and manage outside counsel where needed; hold external advisors to a high bar and act as the bridge between outside counsel and our internal teams to drive cost-effective and business-oriented solutions

About you and your skills:

• 3+ years of legal experience
• Member in good standing of at least one state bar
• Excellent analytical, writing and communication skills
• Experience managing and executing large projects
• Willingness to master new and unfamiliar areas of practice. Legal knowledge related to any of the following is a plus: commercial contracts, consumer internet regulations, data privacy, corporate governance
• Highly effective, business-friendly and persuasive communication skills including excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Experience with addressing challenging situations with a solutions-oriented mindset and building trust with stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to to prioritize, multi-task, meet deadlines and maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, ambiguous and changing environment
• Confidence to seek out challenges and tenacity in pursuit of excellent outcomes, while willing to roll-up sleeves, pitch-in and handle problems of all shapes and sizes
