What We're Researching

We're running a paid study on the daily workflows of legal teams. The goal is to observe how legal professionals manage case files, draft documents, and coordinate with clients or colleagues. This research feeds directly into optimizing the tools used in modern legal practice.

How It Works

During this 60-minute remote session, you will join a video call with a moderator. We will ask you to share your screen and demonstrate a typical workflow you handle regularly. You will narrate your process, pointing out pain points and explaining your decision-making steps along the way. The session concludes with a brief discussion about the efficiency of your current tools.

Who This Is For

This study is designed for active members of a legal team who handle routine case or document workflows. We welcome practicing attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants working in any practice area. Candidates must be comfortable sharing their screen and discussing their operational processes.

What You'll Do
  • Join a 60-minute remote video call with a moderator.

  • Share your screen to demonstrate how you handle a typical daily legal workflow.

  • Narrate your actions and explain the reasoning behind your workflow choices.

  • Provide feedback on the tools and software you currently use.

Who Should Apply
  • Currently employed as a paralegal, legal assistant, or practicing attorney.

  • Hands-on experience managing day-to-day legal workflows or case files.

  • Comfortable sharing your screen on a video call (with sensitive client data redacted).

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
