THE OPPORTUNITY
As Legal Operations Manager at Cyera, you’ll own and scale the systems, processes, and tools that power our commercial and supplier contracting engine. Sitting within our growing Legal team and reporting directly to the Director of Legal, you’ll play a critical role in building a best-in-class legal operations function that enables speed, consistency, and smart risk management as Cyera continues to scale.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives at the intersection of legal, technology, and business operations. You’ll partner closely with Legal, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Security, and other cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, implement automation, and ensure our contracting infrastructure keeps pace with the business. At Cyera, we’re lean and fast-moving—so your impact will be immediate, visible, and meaningful.
We’re looking for a strategic operator with a builder mindset, strong judgment, and a passion for legal technology. If you love turning complexity into scalable systems, enjoy working at speed, and bring a solution-oriented approach, you’ll fit right in.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and scale Cyera’s legal operations function, with a primary focus on commercial and vendor contracting workflows.
- Act as the system owner for Ironclad, including implementation, configuration, optimization, integrations, reporting, and ongoing administration.
- Design, build, and continuously improve end-to-end contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes, from intake and triage through execution, storage, and renewal.
- Develop and maintain legal templates, clause libraries, playbooks, approval matrices, and fallback positions to support efficient contracting at scale.
- Partner with Legal, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Security, and other stakeholders to streamline contracting workflows and reduce friction while maintaining risk standards.
- Drive adoption and optimization of legal AI tools, including contract review, redlining, intake automation, knowledge management, and analytics.
- Evaluate, implement, and manage legal technology vendors, with a strong focus on automation, data quality, and measurable impact.
- Build dashboards, reporting, and metrics to track contract volume, cycle times, bottlenecks, risk trends, and legal team performance.
- Support privacy, data protection, and regulatory workflows by operationalizing requirements related to GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, UK/EU data protection, and emerging AI regulations.
- Stay current on legal operations best practices, CLM trends, and AI-driven legal tooling, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Support ad-hoc legal projects and operational initiatives aligned with Cyera’s growth and evolving business needs.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ironclad CLM and Salesforce experience is mandatory — including hands-on administration, workflow design, and optimization in a live environment.
- Demonstrable experience implementing and using legal AI tools (e.g., AI contract review, intake automation, clause extraction, analytics, or knowledge management).
- 5+ years of experience in legal operations, commercial legal operations, or a closely related role, ideally within a fast-paced technology company.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracting processes, including MSAs, SaaS agreements, vendor agreements, and related workflows.
- Experience partnering with in-house legal teams and cross-functional stakeholders to scale processes without sacrificing quality or risk control.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Strong analytical mindset with experience building reports, metrics, and dashboards to drive decision-making.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate legal and operational complexity into clear, actionable guidance.
- A proactive, collaborative, and solution-oriented approach, with comfort operating in ambiguity and at speed.
