What You Will Do In This Role

As the Legal Operations Coordinator, you will be the backbone of our legal processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency across all contract reviews by establishing and enforcing guidelines and Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You will keep all stakeholders informed with regular updates, maintaining transparency and clarity on the status of legal matters. Your role involves overseeing the legal review process, ensuring timely and thorough examination of all legal documents.

You will lead contract negotiations with our partners, securing favorable terms and ensuring compliance with company policies. Managing all legal agreements, you will ensure they are accurate, comprehensive, and aligned with our business objectives. As the first point of contact for reviewing internal and external contracts, you will identify potential issues and ensure compliance with legal standards. You will recognize when to escalate complex legal matters to our legal Counsel, ensuring timely and effective resolution. Additionally, you will maintain and manage relationships not only with our internal legal counsel, but also with key external legal partners, facilitating clear communication and efficient collaboration.

Who You Are

You are a legal enthusiast with a passion for understanding the intricacies of the law - and you may be fresh out of law school or have been a paralegal- but it’s likely that you no longer aspire to be a lawyer. You might sometimes get called pedantic by your friends or family, but accuracy is important to you and you wear that “pedantic” badge with pride. Your hyper-organized nature and process-driven mindset ensure that every detail is meticulously managed. You act with confidence and urgency, maintaining a calm, cool, and collected demeanor even in high-pressure situations. Balancing the protection of the business with safeguarding the bottom line is second nature to you.

You are a direct communicator who can negotiate effectively and -when necessary- engage confidently with C-level executives. You challenge the status quo, never accepting "no" for an answer, and always seek innovative solutions. Your ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing circumstances sets you apart, making you the ideal candidate to drive our legal operations forward. Lastly, you will get bonus points if you have any type of experience with resale or brokerage negotiations (either at or with VARs) in our industry.

Who We Are

We’re revolutionizing the way companies buy and sell digital infrastructure, and we’re extremely proud of that. Digital infrastructure is the enabler of the internet and at the core of every industry. Traditionally it’s been bought manually through service provider sales people, resulting in high costs, slow procurement cycles, and services that don’t work the best - slowing down the ability of companies to build and hold back human innovation. Inflect’s marketplace and advisory are removing friction so any company can get what they need, when they need it, at the right deal terms. By achieving our mission, we unlock businesses to build and human innovation inflects!

Of course, we’re also a startup, and it’s important that you understand what that means if you work for us. We work quick, we work smart, we work hard, and the road to success is filled with some of the highest highs, but also has its fair share of lows. If you’re looking for the same thing day in and day out, this will not be the place for you. (And that’s totally okay!) We’re all owners of Inflect -full time employees receive option grants-, and we know that we’re the reason we’ll achieve our goals, or we’ll be the reason we don’t. So believe me when I say that we’re hell bent on achieving our goals. If this sounds like the kind of environment you would thrive in then we’d love to have you!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
