We are looking for a highly motivated, independent thinking individual to join our global team.
Job Summary:
As a Legal Operations Analyst in the Case Oversight & Administration Team within the Legal function you will handle the initial assessment, case intake, and data management for litigation at JPMorgan Chase. The Case Oversight & Administration Team (COAT) is a collaborative and inclusive group. Your role involves reviewing legal and non-legal documents, conducting research, applying policies, interacting with staff, creating reports, and analyzing data in a fast-paced environment. You'll make decisions based on legal knowledge and business understanding.
Job responsibilities
  • Learn to examine and prioritize legal and non-legal documents to decide if they should be managed by the Litigation Department or routed to another area of the business.
  • Conduct detailed research using internal and external systems to understand customer relationships related to potential litigation.
  • Respond to specific research requests and data requests as needed.
  • Keep electronic case files updated with matter initiating documents and any additional documents served to the Firm.
  • Learn to identify urgent issues and escalate them promptly to management when necessary.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Analytical, organizational, research, presentation, time management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • All candidates for a role in the Legal Department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills:
  • Legal experience is preferred.
  • Strong in the English language.
  • Working knowledge of banking and finance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with US law and regulations regarding the financial industry preferred.
