Legal Operations Analyst

Job Description Summary

This role provides daily support for key Department operations, workstreams, and projects. Responsible for support related to matter management, e-billing, and contract lifecycle management (CLM) processes. Additionally responsible for assisting with vendor oversight, management, and analytics.

Job Description

  • 30% - Work closely with the company’s accounts payable and supplier management teams to ensure efficient operations and relationship management.
  • 20% - Provide daily support and administration of our matter management and e-billing system and assist with optimizing the system and workflows.
  • 20% - Provide daily support and administration of our CLM system and assist with optimizing contract processes and workflows.
  • 5% - Support the CLM rollout as it is introduced to new lines of business and users; assist in their adoption of new processes, procedures, and use of the technology and help with providing relevant internal support.
  • 5% - Manage and support other legal tech solutions and systems as appropriate.
  • 5% - Assist with relevant business process reviews and other interdepartmental projects and processes.
  • 5% - Support various legal operations projects, helping to drive them to successful completion.
  • 5% - Assist with system reporting and analytics to aid decision-making and enhance operational efficiency.
  • 5% - Performs other related duties as required or requested.

Requirements and/or Experience Preferences:

  • 2+ years experience in a legal operations role for a comparable company (i.e., e-billing or A/P or medical billing)
  • Workday or some type of CRM experience (or experience with some enterprise system like SAP)
  • Contract life-cycle management experience is helpful
  • Hybrid 3 days/week in-office is ideal but open to location, with preference for Chicago, Boston or Bay Area candidates

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $68,850.00 - $81,000.00
