Job Description
Are you a future legal leader with a passion for problem-solving in a fast-paced environment? We're looking for a Legal Intern to join our team for a 12-week hybrid internship beginning in Fall 2025. You'll work directly with our in-house counsel, gaining invaluable experience by tackling complex projects and contributing to the legal and business strategy of our growing company. If you're ready to enhance your skills and translate legal expertise into real-world business solutions, we want to hear from you.

We have a strong preference for Texas-based candidates, but we are also willing to consider applicants from Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, or New York. The hourly rate for this internship ranges from $25 - $35.


In this role, you will:

  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough research on various legal areas, including privacy & AI, payments, data/security, intellectual property, employment law, advertising, and corporate governance. Prepare summaries and briefing notes for the legal team to review.

  • Contract Review Support: Under the direct supervision of Legal Counsel, assist in drafting, reviewing, and revising draft agreements (e.g., NDAs, vendor agreements, and partnership agreements).

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business, payments, product, marketing, engineering, and operations teams to support legal compliance efforts.

  • Regulatory and Product Support: Assist in interpreting and summarizing new regulations and regulatory changes in partnership with Legal Counsel to make sure new products and features comply with regulatory requirements.

  • Compliance Support: Assist in drafting policies and procedures designed to help mitigate compliance risk and work with the business to implement controls that ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.


What you bring:

  • Currently a 1L or a rising 2L student at an accredited law school.

  • Strong legal writing and analytical skills.

  • Ability to synthesize complex legal topics and communicate effectively to non-legal audiences.

  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to think critically and come up with creative solutions.

  • Enthusiasm for learning new disciplines.

  • Desire to exceed goals and achieve results; satisfaction derived from meeting deadlines and finishing projects.

  • Strong organization skills and a relentless attention to detail.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Rolls up their sleeves, responds quickly and decisively, is flexible and open to change, and is able to productively work with the team to achieve company objectives

We operate on a hybrid schedule for in-office employees. Standard schedules are three days per week in the office, however, the cadence and days are determined by each team and manager.
