The Learning Program Manager – School of Product Knowledge is responsible for designing and driving learning programs that build product knowledge across Ferguson. This role partners closely with business leaders, subject matter experts, and internal learning teams to create learning experiences that help associates better understand products, systems, applications, and industry solutions — strengthening their ability to support customers, recommend solutions, and grow the business.
This individual will lead end-to-end learning programs across a variety of product categories and business areas. Responsibilities include learning strategy, program management, facilitation, stakeholder engagement, vendor coordination, and learning measurement.
The ideal candidate brings strong learning and program management experience along with the ability to simplify complex product information into engaging, practical learning experiences. Familiarity with Commercial, Industrial, HVAC, Plumbing, waterworks, or related product categories is preferred.
Location and Travel:
This role is approved to be either Remote within the United States or Hybrid based out of Ferguson’s corporate offices in Newport News, VA, in accordance with company policy. Periodic domestic travel (up to 25%) is expected to support in-person learning programs, stakeholder engagement, and business partnership needs. Flexible working hours as needed based on meetings and training.
Key Accountabilities:
- Learning Strategy Development: Develop and run learning strategies that support product knowledge education across supported business areas. Identify learning needs, recommend solutions, and align programs to evolving business priorities.
- Program Design and Delivery: Lead the design, development, and execution of learning programs across multiple delivery formats, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, self-directed learning, hands-on labs, and blended learning experiences.
- Product Knowledge Development: Partner with business leaders and subject matter authorities to create learning experiences that improve associate understanding of products, product applications, systems, and industry solutions while increasing confidence and capability in supporting customers and driving sales growth. Support both foundational and advanced product knowledge learning needs.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Partner closely with business leaders, HR partners, subject matter experts, vendors, and internal learning teams to align on priorities and support successful execution of learning initiatives.
- Facilitation and Learner Experience: Facilitate in-person and virtual learning experiences as needed to support learner engagement and knowledge transfer. Help ensure a consistent, high-quality learner experience across programs.
- Program Management and Execution: Manage end-to-end program execution, including planning, timelines, communication, stakeholder coordination, vendor management, and delivery readiness. Balance multiple priorities while ensuring strong execution and follow-through.
- Measurement and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate program effectiveness using learner feedback, participation data, and business input. Find opportunities to improve learning experiences and strengthen program impact.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Collaborate with broader learning and business teams to align onboarding, product knowledge development, and ongoing learning experiences across supported business areas.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 3–6 years of experience in learning and development, program management, training, or business enablement roles.
- Experience designing and delivering learning programs focused on product knowledge, technical products, or industry learning preferred.
- Strong project and partner management skills, including experience handling multiple priorities and cross-functional partnerships.
- Experience facilitating in-person and virtual learning sessions preferred.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles, blended learning approaches, and learning technologies.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, waterworks, commercial, industrial, or related product categories is helpful, but not required.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse audiences.
- Ability to operate optimally in a fast-paced, evolving environment while balancing strategy and execution.
- Certifications in learning & development, talent development, or program management are a plus.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically as needed (up to 25%).

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
