What We Need:  

The Learning Experience Content Designer-DME will report directly to the Director, Business Operations. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in content development and a working knowledge of the Durable Medical Equipment (DME) industry. The role involves developing training materials, managing LMS/KMS tools, collaborating with subject matter experts, and tracking performance metrics. You will be required to learn the business, see the bigger picture, and use data to guide learning solutions. You will have a curious, innovative and creative mindset in order to solve business needs through high quality, consistent and company branded materials. The role also includes working to format all materials using department-approved/branded designs and support for all of Synapse Health’s internal training.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Design and write engaging, accessible training materials, SOPs, and knowledge articles.
  • Convert healthcare operations, DME workflows, product flows, and compliance topics into clear learning modules.
  • Produce various content formats—slide decks, videos, microlearning, infographics, interactive tools. 
  • Track metrics such as training adoption, content accuracy, and time-to-competency.
  • Ensure WCAG/ADA compliance and maintain version control on learning assets. 
  • Continually improve content based on learner feedback and company updates.
  • Help configure and maintain LMS/KMS tools and organize taxonomy, permissions, and user pathways.
  • Improve tagging, search, and user experience for internal content. 
  • Assist with launching learning programs and tracking completion, engagement, and feedback. 
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts to extract, validate, and refine process knowledge.
  • Work with Product, Clinical, Support, and Ops teams to distribute learning resources.
  • Participate in internal updates, product launches, and change enablement initiatives.

 

What You Have:

  • 3+ years in content creation, instructional design, technical writing, or enablement roles. 
  • Experience in the DME industry or with DME workflows is required. 
  • Familiarity with LMS platforms (e.g., Lessonly, Docebo, Litmos) and KMS platforms. (e.g., Guru, Bloomfire, Confluence). 
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to simplify complex processes.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Articulate, Google Workspace, Loom, or Camtasia. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office. (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong relationship building skills.

  • Understanding of durable medical equipment (DME) workflows. 
  • Deep understanding of DME workflows and terminology. 
  • Experience supporting remote teams through scalable learning content. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in a virtual environment.
  • Ability to understand complex information and translate that into meaningful, impactful learning solutions.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and comfortable in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
