Description

Imagine turning the most pivotal moments in someone’s career—like their first day, performance conversations, and growth opportunities—into experiences that truly inspire and enable success. As Sprout’s Learning, Content & Communications Manager, you’ll design and deliver learning experiences, enablement tools, and program communications that bring our people strategies to life. You’ll translate frameworks, systems, and change into content that’s engaging, cohesive, and actionable—driving real adoption and impact across our organization.

Why join Sprout's People Strategy & Innovation team?

The People Strategy & Innovation team designs systems and experiences that unlock performance, fuel growth, and deepen belonging across Sprout. We tackle complex, human-centered challenges—like how to scale excellence without bureaucracy, foster connection in a distributed world, and build learning that lasts. With a blend of research, empathy, and cross-functional partnership, we create thoughtful, scalable solutions that help people thrive and drive meaningful business outcomes.

What you'll do

As a Learning, Content & Communications Manager, you'll design and deliver the experiences that bring our people programs to life. Your work will directly influence how employees connect with and benefit from performance systems, career development, and organizational changes. This role offers the opportunity to think strategically about employee journeys while executing engaging content and communications that amplify individual growth and organizational effectiveness:

  • Design cohesive learning experiences across key employee moments—onboarding journeys, manager development programs, and career growth pathways—that feel connected and purposeful rather than fragmented
  • Create practical enablement content including toolkits, guides, and microlearning that help employees confidently apply performance systems, feedback processes, and goal-setting frameworks in their daily work
  • Develop program communications and rollout campaigns for new initiatives, ensuring clear messaging, resource accessibility, and sustained adoption through thoughtful storytelling and multi-channel delivery
  • Translate complex people strategies into engaging materials—from visual guides to interactive experiences—using journey mapping and user feedback to iterate and improve over time
  • Collaborate across PSI teams to co-create learning and communication experiences that work together as one cohesive system, ensuring performance, culture, and change materials reinforce each other

Manage content ecosystems and learning platforms to ensure materials are discoverable, current, and consistently reflect Sprout's voice and values across all employee touchpoints

What you'll bring

You have a proven ability to design and deliver learning programs that evolve with the business, solve complex cross-functional challenges, and drive meaningful adoption. You consult effectively across teams and levels, influencing stakeholders and navigating ambiguity to ensure successful rollout and sustained impact of people programs. The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • 6+ years of experience in learning design, content strategy, or related fields with demonstrated success creating materials that drive measurable behavior change and program adoption
  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional learning initiatives that drive measurable knowledge transfer and organizational impact
  • Ability to evaluate and adapt strategies to ensure successful long-term learning outcomes and sustained behavior change
  • Experience working in distributed or remote-first environments with demonstrated strategic impact on employee experience and engagement
  • Proven ability to leverage AI-powered tools and an AI-first mindset for creating, optimizing, and disseminating learning and communication content

Preferred qualifications for this role include:

  • Experience in high-growth technology or SaaS companies where you've supported rapid scaling and change management initiatives
  • Background in instructional design, digital learning, or multimedia content creation with formal training or proven track record
  • Expertise in visual communication and information design to create engaging, professional learning materials
  • Experience designing for various digital platforms and formats, including learning management systems, collaboration tools, and mobile-friendly content (think TikTok and YouTube Shorts)
  • Track record of measuring learning effectiveness and engagement using data to iterate and improve learning experiences over time
How you'll grow

Within 1 month, you’ll plant your roots, including:

  • Developing comprehensive understanding of Sprout's brand, culture, and communication approach
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders to understand learning and content needs
  • Assessing current content and learning approaches and identifying enhancement opportunities
  • Creating a content and learning strategy roadmap that addresses priority needs

Within 3 months, you’ll start hitting your stride by:

  • Designing 2-3 enhanced learning or content experiences for priority initiatives
  • Developing templates and frameworks that enable consistent content creation
  • Establishing trusted advisor relationships with initiative owners
  • Implementing measurement approaches to assess learning and content effectiveness

Within 6 months, you’ll be making a clear impact through:

  • Creating solutions that address complex, cross-functional learning challenges with measurable business impact
  • Designing adaptable content frameworks that can evolve with changing business needs
  • Implementing evaluation methods that demonstrate clear ROI of your learning initiatives
  • Becoming a go-to resource for strategic guidance on knowledge transfer and enablement
  • Establishing your function as an essential advisor on organizational learning

Within 12 months, you’ll make this role your own by:

  • Building a comprehensive suite of learning and content approaches that accelerate capability building
  • Demonstrating measurable improvements in learning effectiveness and knowledge transfer
  • Creating sustainable systems for content development and maintenance that scale with growth
  • Establishing Sprout as a leader in innovative learning approaches for distributed environments

Of course, what is outlined above is the ideal timeline. Business needs may shift, and other projects or responsibilities could be added at your manager’s discretion.

However, we are not set up in all states, so please look at the drop-down box in our application to see whether your state is listed. Few roles require an office setting. • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
