Job Description SummaryWe are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Lean Operations Leader to support program management activities across AI and innovation efforts in aerospace engineering and supply chain. In this role, you’ll help drive operational improvements and support the integration of emerging technologies, like AI and automation, into real-world engineering and supply chain processes.
This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in lean operations, digital transformation, and cross-functional collaboration while working closely with senior leaders and technical experts.
In this role, you will coach, drive and lead lean behaviors, principles, and tools by partnering with Operating Leaders in business management roles (e.g. GM of Business Unit, or Executive Lead of a Function). You will drive cultural transformation resulting in step-change in operational business metrics.Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support program tracking, documentation, and coordination for AI and innovation initiatives.
  • Assist in analyzing workflows and identifying opportunities to streamline processes using lean tools.
  • Collaborate with engineering, supply chain, and digital teams to gather data and track project progress.
  • Help prepare presentations, reports, and dashboards to communicate program updates and outcomes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities by collecting feedback, tracking KPIs, and supporting problem-solving sessions.
  • Participate in workshops and team meetings to learn and contribute to project planning and execution.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Operations, Business, Anthropology,
    or a related field.
  • Internship or full-time work experience in operations or project support.
  • Familiarity with lean principles (e.g., 5S, waste elimination, process mapping) and a willingness to learn more.
  • Interest in AI, automation, and digital innovation in engineering or supply chain environments.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams, Miro, Smartsheet).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to project management or continuous improvement initiatives through coursework, internships, or previous roles.
  • Basic knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of coding (e.g., Python, HTML/CSS/JS, C++) is a plus.
  • Passion for innovation, curiosity, and a team-first mindset.
