Are you a creative video producer with a passion for business storytelling?

We have an exceptionally unique opportunity for a skilled Video Producer to take our YouTube channel to the next level by elevating the creativity, production quality, and entertainment value of our content. We’re looking to tell the most compelling and fascinating stories about people, companies, and websites through the lens of online search. You’ll use your creativity and storytelling abilities to produce videos that are entertaining, yet educational, further establishing Ahrefs as the global leader in the digital marketing industry.

You’ll develop highly valuable skills at the intersection of YouTube and corporate strategy - an exciting, rapidly growing space with immense potential. Working with industry experts, you’ll gain deep insights into the intricacies of YouTube, building a foundation of expertise for the rest of your career.

What You’ll Do

You’ll have the opportunity to lead a team, and to spearhead the production of content for the channel. You’ll lead content ideation efforts, crafting the best stories and pre-production scripts for video concepts. From there, you’ll lead and organize shoots, capturing footage yourself for many of the videos. You’ll then work with video editors on the team to bring your creative vision to life and craft compelling content.

You’ll be expected to run autonomously and fully own the entire production process, while receiving mentorship from industry experts both in the SEO/digital marketing space and in the YouTube space along the way.

Basic Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a producer and/or director, with a strong portfolio in creating video content independently
  • Strong interest, curiosity, and passion for big data, data tools, SEO, and marketing
  • Highly organized and able to work autonomously. A strong self-starter mentality is required to succeed in this role
  • Excellent storytelling skills and ability to simplify technical concepts for a broad audience
  • Willingness to participate in a paid freelance project during the interview process
  • Must live within a reasonable commuting distance to the Boston area, or be willing to relocate accordingly
Interview Process

Initial Screening > SME Interview > Written Assignment > Manager Interview > Paid Freelance Project

To clarify - During the interview process, you’ll be expected to complete a written exercise that vets your creative chops in content ideation. The top candidate selected would then be expected to participate in a paid freelance project prior to extending a full-time offer.

More Details
  • Competitive Salary
  • Healthcare and 401k benefits
  • Generous bonus structure
  • Basic video equipment will be provided, with more resources available by request
