Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and entrepreneurial Lead UX/UI Designer to drive the user experience and interface design for a key digital transformation initiative. This role is responsible for leading the full end-to-end design process—from research to final UI—while helping shape product strategy in close partnership with Product, Engineering, Data, and Business stakeholders.

This position requires a passionate, hands-on design leader who can build modern, scalable experiences and design systems from the ground up, while influencing the evolution of design culture across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the entire UX and UI lifecycle, including research, persona creation, wireframes, prototypes, usability testing, and final high-fidelity UI design
  • Partner with product managers and developers to influence roadmap decisions and deliver intuitive, scalable interfaces for complex enterprise workflows
  • Build and lead the development of a comprehensive design system in partnership with other UX team members across the organization
  • Conduct user research and usability testing using both qualitative and quantitative methods, synthesizing findings into actionable design insights
  • Collaborate with global teams (U.S., EMEA, APAC) to ensure design consistency and cultural relevance across regions
  • Apply and promote design best practices, including accessibility standards (WCAG, Section 508), responsive UI, and systems thinking
  • Leverage AI-based tools to accelerate design workflows, test concepts, and improve outcomes through innovation
  • Champion a customer-obsessed mindset across teams and contribute to the evolution of a human-centered design culture

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in UX and UI design with a strong portfolio of end-to-end digital product work
  • Proven ability to deliver high-fidelity designs and scalable design systems in tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Deep understanding of UX research methodologies and the ability to conduct usability tests, surveys, and stakeholder interviews
  • Experience working in cross-functional product teams and collaborating with Product, Engineering, Analytics, and Marketing stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to influence product strategy while executing design deliverables independently
  • Strong familiarity with modern product development processes (Agile/Scrum) and global team collaboration
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with experience in 0–1 product development environments
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills across all levels of the organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing IoT or complex data/interaction-heavy interfaces
  • Familiarity with AI/ML tools that enhance UX/UI workflows
  • Experience in e-commerce, B2B/B2C, or life sciences/biotech environments
  • Knowledge of accessibility and compliance standards (e.g., WCAG, 508, FDA frameworks)

Tools & Technologies

  • Design: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro, InVision
  • Research & Testing: Maze, Optimal Workshop, UserTesting, Lookback
  • Workflow: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint
  • Presentation & Storytelling: PowerPoint, Miro, FigJam
  • AI Tools: Midjourney, ChatGPT, Galileo AI, or similar for design acceleration
