The Opportunity
The Lead Treasury Analyst is responsible for administering the corporate card for Velera which includes support for the organization using Navan, auditing of T&E and reporting to management/internal audit exceptions. They will partner with various levels throughout Velera’s organization to ensure corporate policy is administered and our internal customers are supported with the use of the corporate card. The incumbent will be the primary owner of all prefund analysis for Velera and providing guidance and managerial advice to all levels of management regarding prefund strategies. They will be responsible for various balance sheet settlement reconciliations, providing Treasury support for daily settlement money movement and account analysis fees. They will be primary owner of budgeting and forecasting of lockbox, pass-through revenue and expenses. The responsibility of maintaining/managing our cost center and ensuring we are in budget. Also, aids the team int the audit, monthly close with booking treasury journal entries, daily settlement wire support along with money movements for company. They will support various aspects of the Treasury & Settlement Operations including daily cash position and monitoring inflows/outflows of cash.
Day in the Life
Management of our corporate card program and work on process improvements that will ensure ease of use for our employees.
Manage and analyze the daily, monthly and expenses to determine in/out flows of cash to determine main usages of cash.
Manage Treasury cost centers to ensure we are within budget and audit to ensure our department expenses are accurate.
Will reclassify anything that is charged to our CC and not belonging to our department.
Will work closely with our finance liaison to ensure we are within budget, and our expenses are reflective of our activities.
Responsible for company prefund calculations and providing guidance to management on strategy and changes to ensure cooperative has adequate settlement working capital.
Manage the relationship with CGEs to communicate changes to our prefund strategies with support to answer questions from our FIs.
Will work with Marketing when large adjustments are necessary to ensure seamless communication with our member owners.
Assist management leadership in general ledger monthly responsibilities; research and resolve complex and critical issues involving departmental processes and procedures
Planning/Forecasting of Investment Income, Interest Expense and other items manager currently resides with manager and interchange monthly review
Audit support (SOC 1), interim and final audit
Ensuring proper billing of pass-thru revenue and suspense account activity
Interact professionally with Velera’s external/internal customers e.g. (Visa/MC, FIs, corporate card users) to continuously improve service standards and ongoing relations.
Partnering within the treasury team on projects and duties
Reconcile some balance sheet accounts related to settlement to ensure proper booking of daily entries.
Advise on settlement best practices and strategy with the internal and external teams to drive effective communication, feedback, and innovative thinking.
Treasury analysis fees recording to general ledger and review for reasonableness
Variance analysis on revenue/expense accounts
Settlement Wire support
Line of business allocation for our revenue entries by client
Coordinates and oversees any special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related, or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
10 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience in industry and/or education.
Minimum desired 5 years of EFT experience in the banking/credit union industry.
Five (5) Accounting/Treasury or Banking experience required.
Five (5) years minimum credit/debit card experience desired
Five (5) years’ experience supporting back office and Settlement services and/or equivalent combination of education and experience desired.

Pay Equity
$84,900.00 - $108,200.00Actual Pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
