Our Mission

Healthcare should work for patients, but it doesn’t. In their time of need, they call down outdated insurance directories. Then wait on hold. Then wait weeks for the privilege of a visit. Then wait in a room solely designed for waiting. Then wait for a surprise bill. In any other consumer industry, the companies delivering such a poor customer experience would not survive. But in healthcare, patients lack market power. Which means they are expected to accept the unacceptable.

Zocdoc’s mission is to give power to the patient. To do that, we’ve built the leading healthcare marketplace that makes it easy to find and book in-person or virtual care in all 50 states, across +200 specialties and +12k insurance plans. By giving patients the ability to see and choose, we give them power. In doing so, we can make healthcare work like every other consumer sector, where businesses compete for customers, not the other way around. In time, this will drive quality up and prices down.

We’re 17 years old and the leader in our space, but we are still just getting started. If you like solving important, complex problems alongside deeply thoughtful, driven, and collaborative teammates, read on.

Your impact on our mission:

As a technical leader on a high-caliber team of Salesforce professionals, you will help support the internal tools used by the sales and operations teams at a rapidly growing and innovative tech company. You will be a primary driver of continuous improvement to our extensively integrated Salesforce platform with an eye toward platform stability, efficiency, and extensibility.

You’ll enjoy this role if you...

  • Are looking to demonstrate your established Salesforce platform skills and advanced administrator expertise
  • Want to be a technical leader on a growing team of Salesforce professionals who are dedicated to moving our platform forward with the latest that Salesforce has to offer
  • Are capable of delivering MVP features quickly and effectively with an eye toward iterative development
  • Are driven to always grow your technical and leadership skills, and take pride in sharing that knowledge with other members of the team
  • Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Enjoy mentoring and coaching others

Your day-to-day is...

  • Administering and building solutions on a suite of tools that integrate with Salesforce, such as Service Cloud Voice, FormAssembly, Gong, and more
  • Building and maintaining integrations on the Jitterbit platform (ETL tool) as well as real-time API integrations with the Zocdoc product databases
  • Taking the lead on system implementations and project rollouts
  • Building POCs as needed to support the Systems leadership team in strategic projects with stakeholders
  • Developing, testing, and deploying high-quality business and technical solutions on Salesforce using Agile processes, principles, and techniques
  • Identifying tech debt to keep the org clean and ready for fast innovation
  • Writing excellent automation and maintaining a complex platform
  • Interpreting requirements and suggesting solutions, knowing when to advocate for code versus declarative functions
  • Optimizing and creating automation, visual flows, Lightning Web components, and other functions and configurations within the Salesforce environment
  • Driving technical excellence by suggesting improvements to processes, providing architectural support where needed, and keeping up-to-date on the latest features and developments across the suite of internal tools we manage
  • Leading our business stakeholders through user acceptance testing and participating in discovery sessions where needed
  • Assisting the Systems Manager with mentoring and holding accountable a team of Salesforce Administrators and serving as a technical escalation point for complex outages, bugs, or blocker

You’ll be successful in this role if you have...

  • 7+ years of experience implementing and supporting large-scale, complex solutions on Salesforce
  • 1+ years of demonstrated experience collaborating with, successfully training, and mentoring other colleagues as an individual contributor
  • Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, and some advanced specialization including Platform Developer I or Architect certifications
  • The ability to maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced, team environment while managing multiple competing priorities
  • Experience with multiple integrations and API connections
  • Comfortable reading code in one or more of the core Salesforce languages, such as APEX, Visualforce, Java, Javascript, or Python, and expert-level flow knowledge
  • Experience creating and updating technical documentation, including configuration changes, data mapping requirements, functional designs, test cases, and deployment plans as needed for the engagement
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, collaboration, and analytical skills
  • Experience delivering and receiving actionable feedback in a professional manner
