The Lead Software Engineer is responsible for leading the technical direction and
development of Inmar’s healthcare data and analytics platforms. This position combines hands-on engineering with leadership, guiding a team in building scalable cloud data pipelines, modern lakehouse architectures, and analytics solutions on GCP.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership (30%)

  • Define technical roadmaps and architectural direction for data platform and application initiatives.
  • Design scalable, secure solutions using GCP, BigQuery, Iceberg, and Trino/Starburst.
  • Mentor engineers and uphold high standards through code reviews and technical guidance.

Hands-On Development (30%)

  • Build and optimize cloud-native data pipelines and services using Dataflow, Datastream, dbt, and Python.
  • Develop critical components across the lakehouse platform and analytics ecosystem.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues to maintain system reliability and performance.

Project & Team Execution (30%)

  • Collaborate with product and business teams to define requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Break down and coordinate engineering tasks across the team.
  • Communicate technical decisions and project updates to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement (10%)

  • Drive adoption of best practices in CI/CD, DevOps, testing, governance, and automation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve platform efficiency, developer workflows, and data quality.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Strong Python, SQL, and cloud-engineering skills (GCP preferred).
  • Experience with modern data stack tools (dbt, Iceberg, Trino/Starburst), CI/CD, Terraform, and containerized workloads.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team leadership abilities.

Preferred:

  • API development or microservices experience.
  • Familiarity with Agile practices and tools like Jira/Confluence.
  • Knowledge of data governance and compliance in healthcare environments.
  • Experience with ML workflows (BigQuery ML, Vertex AI).

At Inmar, compensation reflects our belief in integrity, transparency, and the value of individual contributions. The hiring range for this position is:

136,542.38 - 227,570.63 USD Annual

The final offer may vary based on factors such as geographic location, job-related skills, education, certifications, work experience, and other relevant considerations.

Depending on the job level and role, it may include:

  • Annual discretionary bonuses through our Core Company Performance Bonus Plan

  • Equity grants, sign-on bonuses, and other tailored incentive opportunities
