As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management team, you play a crucial role in an agile team dedicated to improving, developing, and delivering reliable, market-leading technology products that are secure, stable, and scalable. As a key technical contributor, you will be tasked with implementing essential technology solutions across diverse technical domains within various business functions, all in support of the firm's strategic goals.
We are looking for a motivated Full-stack Back-End Software Engineer who loves shipping software quickly, but recognizes that automated tests, continuous delivery, monitoring and reliability are elements that will let them keep shipping features into the future and allow their products to succeed.
Job responsibilities
  • Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
  • Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
  • Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
  • Optimize back end applications for maximum speed, reliability and scalability
  • Collaborate with technical architect and Designers for new products
  • Follow and promote Agile practices including Scrum, Lean, BDD and Continuously Delivery

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Formal training or certification on Java development concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Strong expertise with demonstrable experience in building mission critical systems using Java is a must. • You will be responsible for designing and implementing micro-services in Java leveraging domain driven design and Spring Boot framework on public/private cloud • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems • Practical cloud native experience

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
• Extensive experience designing and developing enterprise web applications with ReactJs front-ends • Proficient with CSS frameworks, such as Bootstrap or Material Design, and responsive web development; possess good knowledge in HTML5, CSS3, and Less/Sass • Experience with RESTful APIs concepts and its integration with React.js
