We are seeking a seasoned Lead Software Engineer who excels in solving complex challenges and driving the development of enterprise-grade software solutions. In this role, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and leadership abilities to manage high-impact projects, working collaboratively across teams to deliver innovative, scalable, and resilient systems. The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in software development but also have a proven track record in managing teams within dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Lead the end-to-end development, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale software products with a strong focus on quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Architect and design robust systems, guiding the team in building efficient, scalable, and fault-tolerant applications that meet business and technical objectives.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to align on product goals and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.
- Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement while helping them grow technically and professionally.
- Proactively identify and manage risks related to project scope, timeline, and technology, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
- Drive a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices to maintain technical excellence.
- Contribute to DevOps practices, overseeing deployment processes, ensuring continuous integration and delivery pipelines are efficient, and that environments are maintained optimally.
Requirements
Technical Proficiency Requirements:
- Programming Expertise: Strong proficiency in Go and Node.js, with a solid understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Postgres, MongoDB). Ability to write efficient, maintainable, and scalable code for high-performance applications.
- API Development: Experience in creating and managing APIs to support seamless data flow between the client and server for enterprise applications.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Experience in writing comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using frameworks like JEST and Cypress. Familiarity with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and a strong focus on maintaining high code quality.
- System Design and Architecture: Proven experience in creating architectural diagrams, system designs, and technical documentation for complex enterprise systems. Ability to drive architecture discussions and decisions.
- DevOps and Cloud Infrastructure: Experience in cloud computing environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure), leveraging Docker and CI/CD pipelines for effective deployments and environment management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of hands-on software development experience, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of large-scale enterprise products.
- Leadership: At least 2 years of team leadership experience in a fast-growing, agile environment, with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop engineering teams.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience tackling complex technical issues, managing project risks, and resolving blockers in real time.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven ability to work directly with business stakeholders and product managers, ensuring technical solutions meet business needs.
- Agile Methodologies: Hands-on experience with Agile practices, including iterative development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Cloud and Distributed Systems: Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), distributed systems, or microservices architecture.
- CI/CD Pipelines and DevOps: Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and DevOps practices to ensure smooth and efficient product delivery.
- Strong Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Greenfield & Refactoring Projects: Experience in both greenfield development and refactoring legacy systems, balancing long-term codebase health with delivering new features.
