As the Lead QA Automation and Manual Testing Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Technology division, you will have the opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what's possible. You will lead the QA team in designing, developing, and executing both automated and manual test plans, ensuring the quality of our products and mentoring junior team members.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead the QA team in designing, developing, and executing both automated and manual test plans.
- Write, maintain, and enhance automation scripts to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
- Utilize Sauce Labs for cross-browser and cross-platform testing, ensuring compatibility across various devices and operating systems.
- Configure mobile testing environments and operating systems to support testing activities.
- Conduct thorough manual testing to identify and document defects, ensuring the highest quality standards.
- Collaborate with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve product quality.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in QA and testing.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- Proven experience in QA automation and manual testing, with a minimum of 5 years in a lead role.
- Strong proficiency in writing automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or similar.
- Hands-on experience with Sauce Labs for automated testing.
- Knowledge of mobile configurations and operating systems for testing purposes.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with good judgment.
- Experience with development or test automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, Selenium Grid, Junit, Jenkins).
- Knowledge of platforms/OS/Servers (e.g., Mac, Windows Server, Linux/Unix, J2EE, Apache, Tomcat).
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
- Exposure to commercial mobile manual/automation test management packages.
- Familiarity with web technologies (e.g., HTTP, XML, REST, HTML).
- Understanding of the Application Development Lifecycle and concepts.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies along with relevant certifications in QA or software testing are a plus.
