Job Summary
The Lead Learning Specialist is a highly experienced and skilled professional who drives the organization's learning and development initiatives through expert instructional design and curriculum development. They have a deep understanding of adult learning principles, project management, and instructional design methodologies. They also lead and mentor other team members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality training programs that align with business objectives. Roles & Responsibilities
Curriculum Management & Development:
- Responsible for the roadmap and development for assigned curriculum areas, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and learner needs.
- Conduct comprehensive needs analysis to identify learning gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
- Define end-to-end curriculum paths that encompass multiple learning modalities and address diverse learner needs.
- Develop clear and measurable learning objectives in collaboration with stakeholders and based on business requirements.
- Structure courses and learning experiences that effectively achieve the established learning objectives.
- Continuously evaluate and update the curriculum to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
Instructional Design & Delivery:
- Utilize advanced instructional design skills and platforms (e.g., Articulate Rise/Storyline) to create engaging and effective learning materials.
- Develop interactive learning activities, assessments, and simulations that promote knowledge retention and application.
- Deliver high-quality training sessions, both in-person and virtually, utilizing effective facilitation techniques.
- Review and provide constructive feedback on learning materials developed by other team members.
- Ensure all learning materials adhere to established style guides, branding guidelines, and industry best practices.
Leadership & Mentorship:
- Lead and mentor a learning team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
- Coach and mentor project contributors to instructional design, content development, and delivery techniques.
- Foster a collaborative and supportive learning environment within the team.
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
Stakeholder Management & Collaboration:
- Engage with organizational stakeholders to understand learning needs and develop targeted solutions.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders as a trusted advisor and thought leader on learning and development matters.
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders on project progress, timelines, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather relevant content and ensure the accuracy and relevance of training materials.
Project Management & Innovation:
- Manage complex learning projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Identify and implement innovative learning design and delivery approaches, leveraging new technologies and methodologies.
- Utilize project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence) to track and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables effectively.
- Continuously evaluate project effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications & Educational Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Design, Human Resources, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or a related field. Proven experience leading and mentoring teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced / Master Instructional Design Certification
- Project Management Certification
- Expert knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning methodologies, and curriculum development best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in instructional design platforms (e.g., Articulate Rise/Storyline) and project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects and deliver results on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance. Base Salary Range
$77,600—$129,300 USD
