THE POSITION

The Energy Control Management (ECM) Lead Sales Business Development Manager will lead growth efforts in North America region by driving key strategies, new customer attainment and partnership initiatives which are critical to market growth and profitability. You will align continually with leadership to assess portfolio opportunities and needs in the market, provide input into regional industry trends, technology/product development, to enhance our portfolio offerings specific to end-user needs.

This role will be Instrumental in advising leadership on data-driven strategies to transform business operations that exceed strategic, financial, and operational goals by:

  • Developing and executing market penetration and strategies for Energy Control Management customer requirements and providing solutions and services in the region
  • Utilizing your significant domain knowledge of the power, utilities, and nuclear industry
  • Understanding key business and technology drivers that influence the associated software & automation solutions

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create business development strategies to increase company revenue and brand value.
  • Develop, Negotiate and Close opportunities
  • Manage Momentum Through the Sales Cycle
  • Work with executive leadership to build a dynamic and future flexible business strategy for rapid growth in this market space.
  • Advise on industry trends and support the development of growth strategies.  Analyze existing business strategies and provide recommendations for future growth.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential new accounts, greenfield projects, business opportunities, and partnerships within the Energy Control Management industry.
  • Pursue new business opportunities and ensure seamless handoff from business development to execution.
  • Help executive leadership in setting investment decisions to support profitable growth in this market space.
  • Participate in seminars and industry events to represent Honeywell in the Energy Control Management market, including datacenters, nuclear, power and utilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including products teams, technical sales consultants, and marketing, to develop and execute go-to-market plans for new business opportunities and partnerships
  • Work with other divisions within the company to leverage synergies and expand the company's offerings in their specific business unit as One Honeywell. 
  • Ability to travel up to 60% throughout North America 

Qualifications

IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • 5+ years’ Business Development experience with Energy Control Management (Power and Utilities) applications
  • Previous experience achieving $5.0 million quota targets 
  • Thorough knowledge of market penetration strategies and market development strategies and techniques
  • Strong understanding of automation and software solutions, including DCS, Safety Systems, Cyber and Advanced Software Solutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of business impact of software and automation solutions used across the power infrastructure value chain.
  • Proven business development and ability to develop relationships with decision makers within new customer accounts.
  • Success identifying new opportunities and customers, developing, and implementing successful pursuit strategies. 
  • Experience within the datacenter market with a clear understanding of the power infrastructure requirements
  • 5+ years’ experience with automation and controls
  • Strong understanding of automation and software solutions, including DCS and Safety Shutdown System
  • Demonstrated strong business development sense with the ability to develop relationships with decision makers within new customer accounts.
  • Success identifying new opportunities and customers, developing, and implementing successful pursuit strategies. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication

  • Strong understanding of automation and software solutions, including DCS and Safety Shutdown System
  • Demonstrated strong business development sense with the ability to develop relationships with decision makers within new customer accounts.

Pay Equity Posting Language: 

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Connecticut, and Hawaii is $145,000 - $181,000.  For Washington and most major metropolitan areas in New York & California, the annual base salary range is $167,000 – $208,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.


Compensation Package Language:

This position is incentive plan eligible.
