The IT organization within Watts Water Technologies is responsible for the implementation, maintenance and development of Information Systems and supporting ICT infrastructure for all Watts Water Technologies companies globally.
The QAD Lead Business Analyst is responsible for providing advanced functional and technical expertise, and production support to business processes supported by QAD ERP and associated applications. This role operates as a senior-level contributor within a team of developer/analysts, collaborating to design scalable solutions, develop specifications, guide technical execution, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
The role reports to the Sr. ERP Applications Manager. Remote with preferred location in No. Andover, MA.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced QAD (MFG/Pro) functional and technical support, delivering solutions for projects and system change requests.
- Manage and prioritize service and change requests, including problem resolution, enhancements, configuration changes, and new features.
- Manage expectations with key stakeholders (Customers, PM’s and Business Analysts. Etc.) as to delivery and status of the deliverables.
- Develop detailed technical specifications based on functional requirements to ensure high-quality implementation.
- Review, analyze, construct, and modify business application systems including coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
- Understand business and technical requirements and translate them into well-designed, scalable solution plans.
- Follow and enhance established standards for design, development, source code management, and deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, performing root-cause analysis and implementing long-term corrective actions.
- Provide on-call business critical production support as required.
- Manage expectations with key stakeholders (customers, project managers, and business analysts) regarding delivery timelines and scope.
- Participate actively in design reviews, offering practical and scalable recommendations for improvements.
- Contribute knowledge and expertise to peers to ensure consistency, quality across the ERP landscape.
- Support training and knowledge transfer to business users during implementations, upgrades, or process enhancements.
- Ensure project deliverables meet required quality standards and are delivered on time and within scope.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including extensive Progress 4GL development and hands-on QAD ERP support.
- Strong functional background in manufacturing business processes, with several years of QAD configuration and support experience.
- Proven implementation and troubleshooting experience with QAD ERP systems (minimum 6 years) in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with QAD eB2.1 module development (required); Progress Version 10+ preferred.
- Experience with EDI, QAD CIM load tools, and related integration methods.
- Technical proficiency in Progress 4GL; knowledge of SQL, XML, Java, and Linux is a plus.
- Strong understanding of SDLC principles and IT Service Management processes (ITIL preferred).
- Self-motivated, independent, and capable of delivering high-quality work with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple Lead-level peers and business teams.

While performing the job duties, you will be working remotely in an office environment. You may be required to occasionally travel to and work in the office at the Andover, MA location for meetings, trainings, or as otherwise required by Company management.
The expected salary range for this position is $130,000-146,000 annually. Actual compensation will be dependent upon individual skills, experience, qualifications, and applicable laws.

- Ability to remain seated/standing at a desk or workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.
- Ability to read documents and communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing, with management, coworkers, and third parties.
- Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.
- Ability to physically move around the office and occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.
