Lead end-to-end execution of substation projects, including engineering, procurement, manufacturing, installation, testing, and commissioning.
Manage project scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk alignment with contract requirements and GE Grid Solutions processes.
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and execution plans.
Identify risks and opportunities and implement mitigation or recovery plans as needed.
Serve as the primary project interface for electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
Ensure compliance with customer specifications, utility standards, NEC, IEEE, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Support technical decision-making related to substation equipment such as transformers, switchgear, breakers, protection & control, and HV/MV systems.
Act as the primary point of contact for utility and data center customers.
Lead customer meetings, progress reviews, and issue resolution discussions.
Coordinate internal teams and external partners, including EPCs, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Interface with Various internal and external Suppliers and OEM’s
Manage project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, billing milestones, and margin protection.
Support change management, claims, and contract administration in collaboration with commercial teams.
Ensure compliance with GE policies, contractual obligations, and internal controls.
Ensure strict adherence to GE EHS policies and promote a strong safety culture across all project activities.
Drive quality execution in accordance with GE standards, utility requirements, and project-specific quality plans.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or mechanical engineering.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in substation, power, or grid infrastructure projects.
Experience executing projects for U.S. utilities or Data Centers
Working knowledge of substation systems, project lifecycle execution, and engineering coordination.
Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Project experience supporting data center customers or large industrial power infrastructure.
PMP or other Project Management certification.
Familiarity with U.S. utility practices, standards, and interconnection requirements.
Experience with GE Grid Solutions products or similar OEM/EPC environments.
Proficiency with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera, SAP, etc.).
Strong leadership and decision-making skills in a matrix organization.
Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
Results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Willingness to travel domestically for customer meetings and site activities.
For Employees/Candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $104,900.00 and $154,900 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual incentive bonus.
