Leading the Payments product strategy and execution at Lendbuzz, mentor junior product managers, optimize KPIs, and collaborate with engineering and financial partners.
At Lendbuzz, we believe financial opportunity should be more personalized and fair. We develop innovative technologies that provide underserved and overlooked borrowers with better access to credit. From our employees to our dealers, partners, and borrowers, we’ve built a company and a culture around a resolute belief in the promise and power of diversity. We value independent and critical thinking.
We are looking for some inspiring individuals to join our growing Product team, folks focused on using their data and product acumen to design, prioritize and build new and improved payment and workflow features on top of our core product. This is a role that will significantly impact our product offering, touch all parts of our business from borrowers to dealerships and our own underwriting and customer service teams, and provide limitless opportunities for growth.
Preference for candidates based in the Eastern Time Zone to support early-day collaboration across teams, with flexibility to start earlier and finish earlier.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and lead Payments product strategy and execution: Partner closely with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to drive the creation, planning, prototyping, and delivery of high-impact products and features aligned to key business and product metrics
- Own end-to-end payment experiences: From authorization, capture, settlement, and refunds, to reconciliation
- Drive deep customer understanding: Define complex problems, develop insights across multiple customer segments, and translate findings into scalable product solutions
- Guide roadmap and prioritization: Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to shape the product roadmap, make tradeoffs, and drive alignment across teams and senior leadership
- Communicate and influence: Clearly communicate product vision, priorities, project status, and post-launch performance to a broad business audience; serve as a point of leadership within the product organization
- Mentor and elevate others: Provide guidance and support to more junior product managers and contribute to product best practices across the team
- Integrations with Payment processors: Lead integrations with payment processors, gateways, banks, and third-party financial partners (e.g., ACH, card networks, real-time payments)
- Optimize Payment KPI: Define and optimize payment KPIs such as authorization rates, payment success rates, cost per transaction, fraud loss, dispute rates, and time-to-settlement
Key Requirements:
- 6+ years of direct product management experience and 2+ years experience leading product managers
- Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch
- Strong project and stakeholder management skills across projects of varying size and scope; high attention to detail - nuance matters
- Knowledge of banking integration and payment processing including ACH, NACHA processing, and various payment channels, with experience maintaining and introducing new payment methods
- Experience designing and delivering product integrations, including reading, consuming, and working with APIs
- Deep interest in product development, data science, and the intersection of software and finance; hands-on experience with payments platforms, processors, or financial infrastructure strongly preferred
- Familiarity with payment lifecycles, reconciliation processes, dispute management, and transaction monitoring
- Experience building high-reliability systems where accuracy and uptime are critical
- Ability to work effectively across functional groups with an adaptive, empathetic, and influential style
We believe:
Diversity is a competitive advantage. We celebrate our differences, and are better when we have a variety of experiences, viewpoints, and backgrounds.
Compassion is a strength. We care about our customers and look to build long-term relationships with them.
Simplicity is a key feature. We work hard to make our forms and processes as painless and intuitive as possible.
Honesty and transparency are non negotiable. We incorporate these traits in all of our interactions.
Financial opportunity belongs to everyone. We work every day to improve lives by extending this opportunity.
If you believe these things too then we would love to hear from you!
