Join us on our mission to empower more people to find their way home by breaking barriers to entry, making the right connections, and building confidence through expert guidance.

The Role

As Lead Product Manager for Activation Platform, you will own the strategy and roadmap for Realtor.com®’s Customer Data Platform (CDP) – the foundational data and orchestration layer that powers personalized consumer experiences across every channel and surface.

In this role, you will own the infrastructure that bridges our data engine and our primary consumer touchpoints – website, app, email, push, SMS, and paid media – so that every team can activate against a unified view of the consumer without filing an engineering ticket.

This role sits at the intersection of data infrastructure, marketing technology, and product strategy. You will partner closely with Software and Data Engineering, Data Science, CRM Strategy, Marketing Operations, and other product teams to deliver a platform that democratizes data access, accelerates personalization velocity, and compounds in value over time. The CDP is the foundation of a new operating model where personalization is a continuous loop of data, intelligence, and optimized delivery.

This is a highly strategic and cross-functional role, visible at the executive level, with the opportunity to transform how Realtor.com activates consumer intelligence at scale.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the CDP end-to-end: Lead onboarding and integration of third-party CDP with existing systems. Manage cross-functional work streams across Engineering, Data, Analytics, and Marketing Operations.

  • Build the unified consumer view: Design and deliver a single, trusted data layer that consolidates behavioral signals, ML model outputs, inferred preferences, and geo-spatial data into actionable consumer profiles for both technical and non-technical teams.

  • Democratize audience activation: Enable CRM, Marketing, and Product teams to self-serve audience creation, journey orchestration, and data exploration without SQL or engineering tickets. Reduce engineering dependency on routine personalization data tasks by a meaningful margin in Year 1.

  • Drive cross-channel continuity: Deliver use cases that ensure a consumer’s on-site experience is consistent with their email, push, and in-app communications, eliminating the fragmentation where a buyer who just submitted a lead continues receiving pre-lead nurture.

  • Manage vendor and partner relationships: Serve as the primary product owner in CDP vendor engagements, including contract negotiation, performance evaluation, professional services oversight, and ongoing platform governance.

  • Evangelize the platform vision: Articulate the activation platform roadmap and its measurable impact to executive leadership, securing alignment and investment for the foundational layer that enables all downstream personalization.

How We Work

We balance creativity and innovation on a foundation of in-person collaboration. This role requires three or more days in our Austin office, where employees have the opportunity to collaborate in-person, adding richness to our culture and knitting us closer together.

What You’ll Bring
  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years owning data platforms, marketing technology infrastructure, or data orchestration systems.

  • Direct experience evaluating, implementing and managing third-party SaaS products at scale. You have been through the vendor process before and know what good looks like.

  • Understanding of data architecture patterns: warehouse-native/composable CDP models, event streaming, identity resolution, audience segmentation, and real-time activation pipelines.

  • Proven ability to work across Engineering, Data Science, and Marketing Operations to deliver platform capabilities that non-technical users can self-serve.

  • Strong data literacy; comfortable with SQL, data modeling, KPI frameworks, and partnering with data science on model integration and success criteria.

  • Experience with marketing execution platforms (Braze, Cordial, Iterable, or similar) and an understanding of how a CDP orchestrates data for channel delivery.

  • Track record of managing complex vendor relationships, including RFP processes, POC evaluations, contract negotiations, and professional services oversight.

  • A strategic mindset with the ability to define platform roadmaps that scale across multiple product domains and compound in value year over year.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence leadership decisions and translate technical platform capabilities into business outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Nice to Have
  • Experience in real estate, two-sided marketplaces, or high-consideration consumer verticals where lifecycle personalization drives revenue impact over long horizons.

  • Familiarity with Snowflake, Twilio Segment, Amplitude, or Auth0.

  • Experience with AI/ML-driven decisioning engines or recommendation systems at scale.

  • Background in data engineering, analytics engineering, or data science before transitioning to product management.
