Role Overview
Lab49 is seeking a senior Product & Engagement Leader to own the success of complex, highstakes financial services initiatives for finance clients. This role combines product strategy and leadership with full engagement ownership: including outcomes, financials, governance, and longterm client trust.
In this role, you do not simply manage a roadmap or facilitate delivery. You wrap your arms around the entire engagement: defining and executing product strategy, leading crossfunctional teams, ensuring operational and financial rigor, and serving as the single accountable owner for client success.
You will operate at the intersection of product excellence, delivery execution, and commercial stewardship, acting as a trusted partner to senior client stakeholders while protecting both client value and Lab49’s interests.
Key Responsibilities:
Define, own, and execute product strategy and roadmaps for complex initiatives, ensuring alignment with client business objectives and contractual commitments
Lead the full product lifecycle from discovery through delivery, balancing strategic vision with execution discipline
Translate complex financial services concepts, workflows, and data into clear product requirements and usercentered solutions in collaboration with UX and engineering teams
Apply datadriven decisionmaking and hypothesisled development to optimize product outcomes, delivery effectiveness, and client satisfaction
Act as the single accountable owner for engagement success across delivery, product outcomes, financials, and client satisfaction
Own and operate within the MSA, current SOW, and prior SOWs, ensuring scope clarity, expectation alignment, and value realization
Proactively identify risks, issues, and dependencies across product, delivery, resourcing, access, and finance and resolve them with clear mitigation plans
Ensure nothing blocks delivery momentum, invoicing accuracy, or executive decisionmaking
Lead crossfunctional, agile delivery teams while maintaining clear priorities, shared outcomes, and predictable execution
Establish and manage delivery cadence, operating rhythms, and governance forums
Prepare and present executivelevel materials that communicate a coherent, compelling story across progress, risks, financials, and resourcing
Navigate ambiguity and changing priorities while maintaining alignment to agreed success criteria
Run the engagement with P&Llevel ownership, including utilization, forecasting, burn management, invoicing, and margin protection
Understand and manage the commercial implications of delivery decisions, scope changes, and staffing adjustments
