Analyst1’s Product team is growing, and we’re searching for an insatiably curious, experienced Lead Product Designer to help us create a market-leading product, built by a tight-knit team. You'll be a core member of the design team and will work closely with product management, engineering, and customer success to solve relevant and challenging problems in the cybersecurity industry—to deliver meaningful impact to our customers through empowering experiences.

About the role

As Lead Product Designer at Analyst1, you will be driving the advancement and creation of experiences that enable teams to quickly uncover security insights, and take confident action to mitigate risk. • Lead complex design projects and ensure quality throughout the entire product lifecycle.
  • Create user flows, information architecture documents, wireframes and sketches, interactive Figma prototypes, and high-definition visual designs using our design system.
  • Share in the ownership of our design system and contribute to its growth and efficacy.
  • Actively collect feedback, data, and insights, and iteratively incorporate them into your design decisions.
  • Employ design thinking and questioning techniques to develop strategies and execution plans where pathways are not always obvious.
  • Advocate for the importance of the user experience throughout the organization and build an enthusiasm for our craft with everyone you come into contact with.
  • Collaborate with product management, customer success, sales, and engineering to create effective cross-functional relationships and effective outcomes for our users.
  • Interact with product management and marketing to have visibility into our competitors.
  • Refine and further define our principles for effective security-oriented experiences.
  • Advance accessibility and inclusion in the product.
What you’ll bring
  • You have 8+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale digital products. Experience working within security products is a significant bonus
  • You have experience on a product team, and have worked alongside product managers and engineers
  • You have a strong portfolio that backs up your ability to think through—and design for—complex experiences
  • You’re proficient with Figma, both for design and experience prototyping
  • You’re one with UX principles and heuristics, and you utilize them to articulate design decisions
  • You’re driven to break apart complexity and comprehend the pieces
  • You have impressive communication skills, and understand that the most impactful ideas are only as good as our ability to express them
  • You are engaged with ongoing conversations and efforts to drive the creation of effective, meaningful, and approachable experiences between AI technologies and humans

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
