Job Description

We’re hiring a Lead Product Analyst (Senior Individual Contributor) to join our Product Discovery team within the Onboarding squad.

The Product Discovery team's mission is to make Wise the preferred choice for anyone needing to move and manage money internationally. As the 'shop window' to Wise, the team is responsible for the pre-signup discovery experience on our website and app, for both personal and business customers, globally.

The primary goal is to create compelling experiences that educate customers about Wise's offerings and demonstrate how we can meet their cross-border needs, ultimately encouraging them to switch from their current provider and sign up with Wise.

As a Lead Product Analyst, your mission is to gain a deep understanding of our customers' needs and identify points where they encounter challenges or disengage in their discovery journey with Wise. Your role is pivotal in guiding the team by delivering data-driven insights and recommendations that inform our product strategy and drive growth.

In this role, you will also have the unique opportunity to collaborate with other domains within Onboarding as well as Regional, Marketing and other Product verticals.

This is an IC3 role. For more information on our Analytics Career Map and levelling structure, click here.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Derive actionable insights from data to drive the team's strategy and inform product decisions - to help improve the global product discovery experience to maximise customer comprehension and adoption

  • Evaluate high impact opportunities, find ways to support & accelerate or identify and advocate for better alternatives

  • Partner with your Product Manager, Engineers and Designers throughout the product development lifecycle to build and iterate product changes based on your insights

  • Build automated data pipelines and dashboards to minimise repetitive tasks and allow data self-serve

  • Help your team understand their progress and communicate this outside of your team by defining and reporting on KPIs that measure what matters

  • Be the primary point of contact for all data related questions on Product Discovery and have full ownership of the domain

Qualifications

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Technical Skills: 5+ years experience in analytical roles with strong data analysis skills.

    • You’re proficient in SQL (with the ability to write clear, performant, and reliable queries)

    • You have experience building and owning automated data pipelines with tools like DBT/Airflow

  • Experimentation & Statistics: Experience running A/B tests and analysing the results to drive product decisions

  • Ownership: You enjoy working independently in a fast-paced environment: Identifying impactful opportunities and making them happen, triage requests by impact and focus on the main priorities.

  • Influence: You have strong stakeholder management skills - you are collaborative, you know how to influence using data and when to say yes or no to maximise impact. You have a bias to action - you identify what needs to be done and make it happen.

  • Execution: You have a keen sense of UX/UI, as webpage and navigation improvements are key growth levers for the team.

NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT ESSENTIAL

  • Experience working with event data & tools (Mixpanel/Google Analytics/Amplitude etc)

  • Knowledge of the FinTech ecosystem

  • Knowledge of advanced scripting languages like Python/R

Additional Information

  • Salary Range: £75,000 - £100,000 (depending on experience and interview performance)
  • Restricted Stock Units (RSUs)

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
