Description

Position: Lead, Influencer and Creator Marketing (NAM)

Employment type: Full Time

Department: DEKA

Reports To: Global Senior Brand Manager DEKA

Location: Boston

Company Overview

A worldwide leader in endurance sports, Spartan is a high-growth, international organization that owns and operates mass-participation athletic events under the brands Spartan®, Tough Mudder®, Spartan Trail®, Hurricane Heat, and DEKA. We create transformational experiences, products, and content to help people, companies, and teams tear down boundaries and expand what they believe to be possible. With over 250 events across more than 40 countries, Spartan is the world’s leading extreme wellness and endurance brand.

Position Overview

The Influencer and creator marketing lead owns the channels where DEKA FIT wins or loses attention: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and the local influencer networks that give each event its hype. This is a growth role first and a content role second - every piece of creative, every creator partnership, and every post exists to move a ticket-sales number and pull new athletes into the DEKA FIT ecosystem.

You are the person in the building who lives and breathes social - you read a feed the way others read a P&L. But you don't operate in a silo. Paid media, email/SMS, PR, and grassroots partnerships all draw on the same organic insight and creative assets you produce, and you draw on their data and reach in return. Your job is to make sure social and influencer strategy is the connective tissue across the whole marketing function, not a channel that runs in parallel to it.

The Core Mission

Turn attention into transactions - daily ticket sales and net-new customer acquisition - through organic social, the "NAM Noisemakers" influencer program, and tightly coordinated support of paid, email, and PR efforts.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Core Pillars of Responsibility

Pillar 1: Influencer & Creator Strategy ("NAM Noisemakers")

This is the flagship program and the primary growth lever of the role.

  • Cohort Build: Recruit a minimum of 10 local Noisemakers (gym owners, regional fitness influencers, community leaders) for every DEKA FIT event.
  • Budget & Contracts: Manage the regional influencer budget and ensure efficient spend allocation across creators.
  • Tracking & ROI: Assign custom tracking codes to every creator; report reach, engagement, code redemptions, and cost-per-acquisition (CPA).
  • Creative Direction: Brief creators on brand tone, event story, and content angles so Noisemaker output is usable across paid, email, and PR — not single-use content.

Pillar 2: Organic Social Channel Ownership (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook)

  • Content Calendar: Own end-to-end content for @deka.fit. This will include reels, carousels, stories, real-time event coverage.
  • Community Management: Engage in comments/DMs to convert prospects into registrations.
  • TikTok Build-Out (Immediate Priority): Audit current TikTok presence and pitch a scalable strategy - raw UGC, trending audio, fitness challenges - to capture #FitTok as a top-of-funnel acquisition channel.
  • Asset Supply Line: Every organic win (a hook, a format, a piece of UGC) gets packaged and handed off - to paid media as ad creative, to email as visual content, to PR as a proof point.

Pillar 3: Paid Digital Integration (Collaborative)

You are the creative and insight engine feeding the paid media partner (MP), not the media buyer.

  • Creative Supply: Continuously provide new imagery, high-energy raw video, and ad copy hooks sourced from what's already working organically.
  • Signal Sharing: Flag organic engagement spikes to paid media in real time so winning content gets scaled into ad spend faster.
  • Joint Review: Participate in routine ad-performance reviews to conversions, hook rates, CPAs - to help kill underperforming creative and scale winners.

Pillar 4: Email & SMS Integration

  • Content Handoff: Supply the email/lifecycle owner with a steady stream of social-proven visuals, creator content, and copy hooks for campaigns and banner inserts.
  • Cadence Alignment: Coordinate posting and send schedules around the same event narratives so social, email, and SMS tell one consistent story instead of three disconnected ones.
  • Cross-Promotion: Support email-driven offers (flash sales, underperforming-region pushes) with matching organic and Noisemaker content on short notice.

Pillar 5: PR & Brand Story Integration

  • Story Sourcing: Surface standout athlete stories, Noisemaker moments, and viral content to the PR/comms function as raw material for press pitches and features.
  • Coordinated Timing: Align major social pushes (TikTok campaign launches, Noisemaker activations) with PR moments - fitness launches, press hits, local media pickup - for compounding reach.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure influencer and organic content reflect the same premium, high-energy brand positioning used in earned media.

Pillar 6: Grassroots & Regional Activation Support

  • Take briefs from the NAM Marketing Manager on local business partnerships, run club outreach, and CVB-related activations, and translate them into social/creator campaigns.
  • Ensure all grassroots activations use clean tracking links/codes to measure penetration accurately.

Daily Expectations

  • Daily Ticket Sales: Actively push, track, and convert sales for every open DEKA FIT event, every day.
  • New Customer Acquisition: Produce organic and creator-driven hooks that introduce DEKA FIT to new fitness communities (CrossFit, F45, commercial gyms).
  • Ideation Pipeline: Constantly test trending audio, formats, and community angles, and route what's working to paid, email, and PR partners.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Your success will be measured directly by:

  1. Noisemaker Execution: Successful onboarding and 100% fulfillment of the 10-creator quota for every open event.
  2. Direct Social Revenue: Volume of ticket sales generated via organic link-in-bio, stickers, and Noisemaker code redemptions.
  3. Channel Growth & Engagement: Net-new follower acquisition and engagement rates among the core fitness demographic across TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  4. Paid Social lift: Creative performance improvements (improved CPAs/CTRs on ads using social-sourced creative.
  5. Cross-functional adoption: Volume and usage rate of special assets adopted by email and PR

Requirements

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in influencer marketing, social media marketing, or digital marketing.
  • Proven success managing influencer campaigns and growing organic social media channels (TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook).
  • Experience tracking campaign performance using analytics, promo codes, or UTM links.
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, content strategy, and creator partnerships.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in the fitness, sports, wellness, or events industry is a plus.
