Job Description SummaryGE Aerospace is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Engineering Operations Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing engineering operations programs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget. This role drives initiatives to improve the effectiveness of the Engineering function and interfaces with other functions to provide effective coordination of metrics, dashboards, functional processes, and cross-functional initiative coordination. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and managing engineering / technology projects.
  • Interfaces with internal/external customers to ensure organization resource allocation is made.
  • Accountable to deliver the scope of work to the original cost estimate.
  • Manages schedule, budget and integration of NPI and/or requisition projects, including influencing the projects to meet customer CTQs and hit tollgate milestones.
  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute policy/strategy.
  • Has knowledge of best practices and knows how functional area integrates with others
  • Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions out‐side of set parameters to address more complicated financial processes with interdependent business cycles.
  • Uses technical experience and analytical thinking.
  • Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to ar‐rive at decisions.
  • Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or a high school diploma / GED, with at least 3 years of experience in Project Management
  • Additional experience with proven results in process implementation and improvement

  • Knowledge and experience implementing advanced SmartSheet features to provide enterprise level solutions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute pro‐grams.
  • Established project management skills.
  • Experience implementing financial and operational management systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex engineer‐ing programs.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with GE Aerospace's FLIGHT DECK lean operating model.

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information.
