As the Lead Econometrician you will:
Shape the future of our econometric product roadmap, from developing core algorithms to providing insightful solutions to our clients' most pressing questions. You will be deeply involved with client teams, offering expert guidance on everything from experimental design to media spend optimization. Your work will not only influence client strategies but also inspire new products and solutions across our agency.
Advanced product development: Lead the development of econometric products and novel identification strategies, tailoring your approach to the applied problem at hand.
Client engagement and insight delivery: Engage with clients to deeply understand their objectives, delivering insights and strategies that significantly enhance the value of their marketing endeavors.
Team development and mentorship: Cultivate an environment of growth and learning within the team, mentoring colleagues and elevating their analytical capabilities.
Analytical leadership and collaboration: Champion cutting-edge analytical practices, collaborating with various teams to elevate our agency's analytical prowess and methodological approaches.
Professional Qualifications:
Advanced degree in statistics, data science, applied mathematics, economics, or a related field
At least 8 years of experience in applied data science, with a strong portfolio of projects demonstrating your expertise in causal inference and econometric analysis.
Proficiency in R/Python and SQL, with extensive experience handling real-world data and translating complex datasets into coherent, actionable insights.
Greater emphasis on: causal inference, especially experimental design, hypothesis testing, observational and quasi-experimental measurement techniques. Experience with hierarchical modeling is a plus!
Lesser emphasis on: big data, deep learning, artificial intelligence, etc.
A love of solving puzzles with data!
Compensation:
The annual base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently $150,000 - $170,000 plus performance bonus of 10%. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data. We will provide more information on our benefits and equity upon requests. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted up to or over 100% of the offered base salary (no cap).
