Position SummaryThe Lead Director, PCW People Partner role is a key leadership role within the Pharmacy & Consumer Wellness (PCW) Human Resources Strategy & Operations team, reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President, HR Advancement & Strategic Enablement.  The Lead Director will be responsible for developing the strategy and driving the creation of an integrated People Partner team that works across PCW, supporting over 220K colleagues.  The Lead Director will build and lead a team of approximately 10 People Partners who will serve as the day-to-day contact for colleagues, addressing high-volume service issues, utilize analytics to generate insights and drive data-driven decision-making, and execute a process improvement and optimization roadmap across PCW HR.This role requires a proactive, organized individual with a strategic, continuous-improvement mindset who can build, lead and develop a high-performing team in a dynamic and transformative environment. They should embrace innovation and change and excel at collaborating across boundaries and impacting and influencing without authority. This role will partner closely with the PCW HR Leadership team, PCW HRBPs, key PCW Business leaders, and HR Centers of Excellence (COEs).Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Role Integration & Evolution:
    • Own, develop and execute the strategy for integrating the two existing People Partner teams across PCW HR within the PCW HR Strategy & Operations team
    • Oversee and optimize the PCW HR People Partner processes
    • Develop and align with executive leadership on the roadmap for the People Partner role and function
    • Determine what and how the People Partner team supports the HR and business, outlining the continued evolution of the role
  • Strategic Partnerships & Service:
    • Build and foster relationships with key stakeholders across PCW HR, HR, and the business to identify key areas of opportunity for process improvement or support
    • Work as a liaison and trusted partner with Talent Acquisition, Colleague Relations, HR Analytics, Workforce Initiatives, DE&I, Legal, Benefits, CSC patient/colleague complaints, Performance management, Labor Relations, etc.
    • Ensure the team delivers exceptional customer service to leaders and managers, and resolves inquiries in a timely and professional manner
    • Proactively identify and address potential issues and trends before they escalate
  • Data & Analytics:
    • Evolve the analytical capabilities of the HR team by partnering closely with HR data analytics to consult and build new tools and processes that will support efficiencies across PCW HR and the business
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date PCW HR People Partner data sources and report out to senior leadership
    • Generate reporting and analyze data to identify trends and make data-driven decisions
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations
  • Team Management:
    • Recruit, train, and develop PCW HR People Partner team members
    • Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
    • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve high levels of performance
    • Manage team schedules, workload distribution, and priorities
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and execute on opportunities to improve efficiencies across HR and how HR supports business partners
    • Determine ways to better leverage data and analytics, reporting, different processes, partnerships, and more in order to deliver exceptional HR value

Work you will do:

  • Lead the integration and centralization of the PCW People Partner teams, currently sitting across two separate teams.
  • Develop the management processes, strategic roadmap, and development of the People Partner team and align on plan with key executive leaders across PCW HR.
  • Collaborates with business leaders and HR leaders to understand their strategic objectives and align People Partner team strategies and initiatives accordingly.
  • Participates in strategic planning discussions, contributes to key HR insights, and develops plans to address process improvement opportunities.
  • Supports organizational development efforts by assessing organizational effectiveness, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to enhance employee engagement and productivity.
  • Provides guidance on policies, procedures, and employment laws, ensuring fair and consistent treatment of employees.
  • Collaborates with Human Resources Leadership and other stakeholders to roll out programs such as performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement surveys, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and learning and development programs.
  • Assists in workforce planning activities by analyzing data and trends related to workforce demographics, skills gaps, turnover, and succession planning.


Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • 8-10 years of Human Resource or similar work experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experienced in strategy formulation and execution
  • Process improvement and change management leadership expertise
  • Clear and compelling communicator with ability to persuade and influence without direct authority
  • Proven collaboration skills with executive leadership team members, HR centers of excellences and/or business partners
  • Organized, efficient and able to manage multiple priorities while ensuring outcomes and deadlines
  • Able to gather data, analyze issues, identify root causes, and address opportunities related to a diverse and dynamic slate of business challenges
  • Capable and credible people leader with passion for team development and engagement
  • Strong in Microsoft office product such as: excel, PowerPoint, teams, word and publisher


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience to substitute

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$100,000.00 - $231,540.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
