Job Description
Cat Digital is the digital and technology arm of Caterpillar Inc., leveraging the latest technologies to build industry leading digital solutions for our customers and dealers. Job Summary:
Join Cat Digital's Data Architecture & Solutioning team to design and evolve enterprise‑scale data architecture that powers Caterpillar's digital ecosystem. You'll lead end‑to‑end solution architectures on Cat Digital's data platform, drive the creation of trusted interoperable data products, and partner with engineering and product teams to accelerate time‑to‑data‑value for data consumers enabling applications, analytics, and marketing.
What You Will Do:
  • Developing detailed data architecture deliverables to solve business problems.
  • Designing data solutions which include system-to-system data flows, conceptual data models, and logical data models.
  • Leading the evaluation and deployment of new solutions to add or enhance existing data product capabilities.
  • Participating in addressing business requirements for applications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver digital and data solutions that meets business results.

Skill Descriptors:
  • Data Architecture: Extensive knowledge of processes, techniques and factors that affect data architecture; ability to design blueprints on how to integrate data resources for business processes and functional support.
  • Analytical Thinking: Extensive knowledge of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability to determine the root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
  • Effective Communications: Working understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
  • Requirements Analysis: Working knowledge of tools, methods, and techniques of requirement analysis; ability to elicit, analyze and record required business functionality and non-functionality requirements to ensure the success of a system or software development project.

  • Semantic modeling experience
  • Extensive data modeling experience
  • Experience designing/architecting cloud-based solutions
  • ETL knowledge preferred
  • Snowflake knowledge preferred

Summary Pay Range:
$128,470.00 - $208,770.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
