Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer who will lead the team responsible for developing and adapting our internal tools and build systems in Cyberpunk 2, along with helping to support other projects across the organization. You will cover day-to-day tools development, supporting code compilation and integration, improving builds performance, and developing new features.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and managing CI/CD systems.
  • Code compilation and integration.
  • Developing, motivating, and energizing the team.
  • Optimizing pipelines & processes.
  • Improving build performance.
  • Maintenance and improvement of the build system (in-house technology).
  • Having regular 1-1’s with team members.
  • Cultivating the team culture in line with the company’s values and goals.
  • Cascading and escalating information.
  • Working closely with the development team to integrate new deployment processes.
  • Establishing and maintaining various automation processes.
  • Maintaining source control branches and performing integrations with merge conflicts.
  • Providing Perforce support for the team.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation of the build/release process.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Manager or Lead.
  • Proficient in C# backend development (ASP.NET Core, .NET 6+, primarily .NET 8).
  • 5+ years experience in software development in gaming.
  • Experience in Entity Framework, LINQ.
  • Proficient in Python programming.
  • Knowledge of Postgres or other RDBMS.
  • Experience using source control software.
  • Demonstrated commitment to taking ownership, setting goals, and driving initiatives independently.
  • Proven track record of effective collaboration, supporting colleagues, and achieving shared goals.
  • Ability to adjust to shifting priorities, handle ambiguity, and excel under pressure.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
  • Continuous integration concepts, centralized CI, Perforce.
  • Experience in containerization Docker, Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with AWS.
  • Knowledge of Eleasticsearch/MongoDB is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, security concepts, authentication.

This job requires working in Boston, US.
Working mode: in-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity.
