**This is a contract position that could become permanent over time**

 

We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake to lead our data engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of Snowflake architecture, design, implementation, and optimization to drive our data warehouse initiatives. 

 

Job Description 

  • Lead the data engineering team to transform and migrate data into our Snowflake data warehouse   

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data pipelines   

  • Develop and implement best practices for Snowflake architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes   

  • Work with data analysts and business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements   

  • Continuously evaluate and improve our data engineering processes, tools, and technologies   

  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy regulations   

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field   

  • At least 5 years of experience in data engineering with 1-2 years leading a team

  • Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture, design, and optimization techniques   

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.   

  • Proficient in SQL, Python, and other programming languages.   

  • Familiarity with data security and privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA  (are a plus)
