Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Arhitect to join our business partner’s growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective GCP solutions with a strong focus on BigQuery, Dataflow, and end-to-end data engineering pipelines. This is a client-facing consulting role requiring excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the architecture and design of GCP cloud solutions for enterprise clients
- Build and optimize large-scale data pipelines using BigQuery, Dataflow, and Pub/Sub
- Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams
- Define best practices for GCP architecture, security, scalability, and performance
- Conduct cost optimization and performance tuning of GCP services
- Create architectural documentation, roadmaps, and design artifacts
- Participate in pre-sales consulting, PoCs, and RFP responses
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong hands-on experience with GCP services, especially:
- BigQuery
- Dataflow
- Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Cloud Composer
- 4+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect or Data Architect in GCP
- Solid background in data engineering, ETL/ELT pipelines, and data warehouse architecture
- Deep understanding of streaming and batch processing patterns
- Experience in client-facing consulting engagements or working in a services/consulting environment
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Data Engineer certification
- Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices
- Knowledge of Python, SQL, and Apache Beam
- Background in analytics, machine learning pipelines, or data visualization tools like Looker or Tableau is a plus
